Bought for a quiet server, very slight clicking noise if you stick your ear right next to it but otherwise totally silent, runs cool even under load (8-core AMD FX 8320e, two GT720s, 3 SSDs and 2 HDDs). Will most likey buy another to replace the noisy PSU in my older server.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rohan Best power supply ever
I've been through too many power supplies trying to find the one with the quietest fans, they all promised so much but still pumped out way too much noise for my liking.
Then I discovered this! It's enough for my needs.
If I was into gaming more and had two graphics cards I MAY think twice, but I think it could handle a general two card set up fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyPSU Fairly Unique concept, superbly executed and so far running flawlessly
In my case the PSU I had struggled to pull air to cool itself as the main system fan produces such good airflow over the top of the PSU fan. So after having that PSU reach silly temps under load and making a hideious racket under no load. Even with attempts at ducting (and this was a gold rated PSU) I decided to try a fanless.
On arrival I was impressed with the solidity of the caseing - its rather full of holes for ventilation but ridgid as can be. Since installing it in my system even at full load for several hours of continous gaming its still running soo cool the air out the case only feels a few degrees up on ambient and the nearest I could get to the internal heatsinks with my thermocouple indicated around 40 celcius.
I've only been running it a few weeks but I can't see it failing for a long time to come as its running so cool.
N.B. While in my case with a 12" fan on one side it stays perfectly cool the lack of fan will almost certainly lead to overheating if the airflow in your case is poor. I expect a normal ATX format will work just fine but be catious and use a themometer in for the first few hours to be sure you case has sufficent airflow..
In conclusion I definatly recomend it as a quiet PSU for a general purpose computer in most cases - the load shouldn't build up heat. Or for a gaming rig just be careful you don't have too large a power requirement and have good airflow.
