AMD SAPPHIRE NITRO - Radeon RX 460 GPU

SAPPHIRE NITRO RX 460 Graphics Card

The NITRO 460 from SAPPHIRE has been designed to perform great in massively popular online titles, promising minimum input lag and over 100 frames per second in DotA 2 or Rocket League in 1080p. Performance up to 30% better than the R7 260X is the result of factory overclocked 4th gen GCN core. This RX 470 NITRO boasts a customized cooling system to keep that performance going for as long as you can game.

XCONNECT GPU TECHNOLOGY

Alternate Device 460 Link-Up

With the RX 460 it’s easier than ever to connect and use an external Radeon graphics card. With AMD XConnect technology, external GPU enclosures configured with Radeon Graphics can easily connect and disconnect to a compatible ultrathin notebook or 2-in-1 over Thunderbolt 3 at any time, just like a USB flash drive—a first for external GPUs!

SAPPHIRE DUAL-X GPU COOLING

Longer Lasting, Noise Reduced GPU Fans

SAPPHIRE's acclaimed Dual-X Cooling is powered by two massive yet silent fans and state-of-the-art radiator design. The new form of our 95mm blades mean greater airflow and superior heatsink coverage for the RX 460 graphics card, at lower noise levels compared to standard cooling designs. These feature dual ball bearing fans, which have an 85% longer lifespan than sleeve bearings in our tests.

ADVANCED RADEON GRAPHICS DISPLAY

RX 460 High-Dynamic Range

Larger Colour Spaces | Higher Contrast Ratio | Higher Peak Luminance

HDR (High-Dynamic Range) technology featured in the Radeon RX 460 GPU, is a technique used when rendering computer graphic scenes. It is done via lighting calculations that are done in high dynamic range to allow preservation of details that may have otherwise been lost due to limiting contrast ratio - making games more visually accurate and appealing.

ENHANCED GPU COOLING SYSTEM

Redesigned RX 460 Airflow

After finding the traditional axial fan design was resulting in a higher temperature build up over time SAPPHIRE are now utlizing NITRO Free Flow. With the RX 460’s NITRO Free Flow (NFF) SAPPHIRE redesigned the airflow of the entire cooler and board, so that the hot air is expelled through the system fan instead, rapidly dissipating heat from the 460 GPU card.

SMOOTH GPU GAMING GRAPHICS

RADEON 460 FREESYNC TECHNOLOGY

Every PC gamer knows how incredibly smooth gaming can be at a steady 60+ FPS. Now you can have that low-latency experience at virtually any framerate with AMD FreeSync monitors. The RX 460 features FreeSync tech that will free your games and their cinematics of screen tearing and help minimize stuttering.

AMD 460 EYEFINITY TECHNOLOGY

Multidisplay for Gaming, Productivity & Entertainment

This RX 470 from SAPPHIRE features Eyefinity technology that expands the traditional limits of desktop computing by multiplying your screen area. With multiple monitors, games become more immersive, workstations become more useful and you become more productive (an average of 42% more productive according to one study). Take your PC games to the next level of reality and immersion with SAPPHIRE 470 graphics cards.

Date Issued: 8th Aug 2016

2016 is proving to be a bumper year for new graphics card launches. Both AMD and Nvidia have refreshed their portfolios with a range of cards based on cutting-edge architectures, and there's plenty of differentiation between the two, as while Nvidia has focussed primarily on the high-end, AMD has plied the mainstream end of the market with the Radeon RX 480, Radeon RX 470 and, as of today, the Radeon RX 460.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent card The RX 460 Nitro+ 4gb gpu will do everything you need it, temperatures are low, power consumption is low, I'm using an Antec earthwatts 380w psu, you'll get a nice bit of OC, and the price is fantastic. If you're on a budget this is the GPU to get, it will play Doom (4) on high settings, it will play Fallout 4 on ultra settings, it will play battlefleet gothic armada on highest settings, the logo lights up, there's a nice LED in the gpu for lighting.. If you need to do heavy workload such as media editing, or you want enthusiast grade stuff (which you'll have alot more money so wont be looking at this anyway) then you'll need something more powerful (RX 470 nitro 8gb at least), but for every day use and heavy gaming this is a great gpu and really it's all you will actually need, especially now vulkan is out and when directx12 is competently coded for.
