System Buses & Bandwidth
Date Issued: 21st Oct 2008

In computing terms, system buses are used to connect various components to the motherboard’s core logic and, often, to each other. Modern PCs run with a multitude of high-speed buses ranging from the interconnects between, say, the chipset and the CPU, graphics card, memory, and peripherals.

4GB Corsair DDR3 Value Desktop PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 11-11-11-30, 1.5V is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now Windows 10 runs almost as fast as Windows 7 After upgrading to Windows 10 everything slowed down (probably because of all the bloating from unwanted 'extra features'). Doubling the memory to 16Gb brought my PC back to more than acceptable standards and was a cheap and reliable matched upgrade with the usual excellent speedy service from Scan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The DDR3 product was good, the technical advise was superb. My poor old eight year old Scan computer was struggling to handle 100MB files in photoshop, not surprising with 6GB of RAM. Because of the large cooler I was under the impression I could only use three of three of the six slots. Despite the age of the machine, your technical advise team gave me a list of costed, priority actions to improve performance. So far I have added a further three of the above memory sticks increasing my RAM to 18GB, making a huge improvement. Next is an SSD to speed start up and loading of files. I will probably replace the machine next year, and of course it will be another Scan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap and simple RAM If you need a simple upgrade with no extras and basic DDR3 speed, can't go wrong with this RAM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good budget memory Bought hundred's of them with only two failures in the field which Scan replaced quickly. Only issue is minimal quibble as Scan said they had to ask permission of the purchasers (my clients) before they'd replace a qualified dodgy item - ridiculous ! I am the system builder

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terribad Not recommended, dodgy straight out of the box and causes crashes on two different PC's but because I didn't take out ScamSure Insurance I am likely to be told it was me that damaged it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's RAM... What else can I say without reeling off tons of (to most people) techo babble. I have 4 of these modules. Fitting them is a doddle and they all work and do what ever it is they do flawlessly
