Rated 5 out of 5 by from Early days, but performance is good In terms of reliability obviously it's early days, but already it seems perceptable quicker (just in terms of real-world use) that the WD Black 1TB that it replaced. Obviously not SSD performance but as a scratch disk for Adobe and general storage for files, user profiles, etc I'm really happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of both worlds? I bought this as a substitute for an aging 1tb seagate i’ve had for years. My boot drive is a 128 crucial SSD, and since many games are 10gb up to even 40gb, this provides space for an additional Steam library, but with significantly less drawbacks of a conventional spinner. Loading times don’t feel much different from the SSD drive actually, the drive is quiet, and access times are very good as well. I’ve also placed some large hi-def media files on here, accessed through my media server. This has significantly improved the seek time and playback fluidity of the media server, where the old drive was a bottleneck. All in all, very happy with the product, I think the size is ideal as well, as the bulk of my data is stored on my NAS, this serves as a local overflow and games drive. Recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good replacement for an ailing WD Black My 2 TB Western Digital Black was six years old and was running hot and behaving erratically so decided to look for a replacement. I usually choose WD over Seagate but this has the same five year warranty as the WD Black and was being offered at the time with a copy of Assassins Creed Origins. It is early days, but thus far I am very pleased - the drive runs very quiet compared to the WD Black and is around 10 degrees cooler (though the WD running hotter may have been due to the age of the drive). Would recommend the Firecuda as a good replacement if you still need a sizeable storage drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install and setup. And it's quick I bought this to replace an old failed hard drive. I debated with myself whether it would be worth the extra over a standard hard drive for the supposed extra speed, would I notice it. I have a swift desktop but its getting on a bit and is running on windows 7. We'll after installing yes I did and by quite a margin. I was impressed with the extra speed and I still am after using it for a couple of months. I wouldn't go back to using a standard hard dive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great SSHD For people who have a LOT of games installed this a great cheap option, faster than a standard HDD and way more capacity than SSDs of the same price. I have this as a secondary drive accompanying my Windows installation on a m.2 drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Budget gaming shdd This shdd is the cheapest I found, it's faster than normal Sata drives but not as fast as ssd. It's just a budget gaming drive, does the job it supposed too.
