Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product with great value for money Not much to tell, but the subject title of my review which I repeat: Excellent product with great value for money 28 April 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect PS4 upgrade, Scan by far the best price. For this price this is almost a no-brainer upgrade for anyone with a 500GB PS4. On the console you're probably likely to see more of a perfomrance upgrade from a 7200rpm standard drive than a hybrid drive and, of course, going full SSD is a significantly more pricy option, particualrly for this size of drive. 14 April 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great in a PS4 Slide right in, no issues at all! Perfect height. Side by side with my friend's PS4, mine loads a LOT quicker. 25 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very quick delivery and intricate packaging. The product was delivered nicely and I was even notified of the packages progress upon arrival. The product itself is exactly as I had expected and thanks for that hard drive I am able to write this review on my macbook! 04 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great drive for PS4 Having an original 500GB PS4, I was getting fed up of uninstalling games to make room for new. This drive is widely recommended as a replacement and it doesn't disappoint. Quiet, seems cool, fast and most importantly, everything installed with 300GB+ free! With regards the PS4, I'd point out that not all saved games can be backed up/transferred. My son was particularly annoyed when he had to restart a couple of the Lego games! On the whole, transferring saved games was an easy process though as was installing the drive. 01 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality and value for money HGST hard disks are used by Apple, so when I needed to find a larger capacity disk - nothing wrong with the old one which is over 5 years old - I looked for that same make. It arrived a day earlier than expected, was easy to fit in my MacBook Pro and being faster than the old drive offers better performance. Not as fast as an SSD but a lot less of a problem to manage. Also a lot cheaper. It runs almost silently. This is the 2nd one of these drives I've fitted to a MacBook Pro within a couple of months and it has proved to improve performance in that one as well (a 2012 13" model which ran slower than expected). 26 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good drive, fast, runs cool Used to replace a 250GB Hitachi drive (still OK, needed extra storage) in a Lenovo T520. Fits fine and boots Windows 10 in 30 secs. Runs at temp. of 32C when playing stored videos. Very pleased. 24 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quick and Quiet. Superb value for money. Fast, quiet, low power. All round good Drive. 08 January 2016

Answer:
This can be used in a desktop as a main drive however its likely you shall need to get a 3.5 to 2.5" bay converter so it shall fit in the case you have.

Answer:
Absolutely YES!
I'm using one as my main HDD in a Mac Pro desktop (with an IcyDock 3.5" to 2.5" converter), and it's actually faster than a 3.5" WD Black drive or WD 3.5" Green drive.
Obviously, it's not going to be as fast as an SSD, but then, it's a fraction of the price.

Answer:
Potentially yes, so long as the existing drive is a SATA drive and not a PATA/IDE drive (different data cable type). You would also need a 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch drive bay converter to allow the smaller drive to be supported in the larger drive bay area.

Answer:
Absolutely. You may need a bay converter to fix it securely depending on your available drive bay sizes. I would also recommend it for laptop use as the 7200rpm makes for faster access times with negligible battery impact as opposed to 5400rpm drives.

Answer:
You will probably need a 2.5" to 3.5" fixing kit, other than that it should work fine.

Yes, but in a desktop you probably have room for a 3.5" and they tend to be cheaper for the same capactity.
