I have 4 of these, enough said.
I have been so pleased with this SSD for price, performance and capacity that I now have four of them.
The first was to replace an M.2 SATA SSD in an HP ENVY 13 Ryzen laptop. It was a huge capacity and performance upgrade. I was so pleased I bought a second for a SFF Lightroom/Photoshop workstation. And recently a 3rd and 4th for two SFF gaming PCs.
To ensure performance is always high I have 800GB usable space on all four drives. I left the rest of the space for the SSD controller to use as over-provisioning and SLC cache.
Three have been run without a heat-sink but the newest one has a passive heat-sink. Not noticed any performance difference though.

Bang for buck
Purchased the 1TB version at £100. Best bang for buck at the time of purchase, same price as a 1TB SATA SSD but nearly 4X faster. Would recommend to anyone after a fast M.2 drive on a budget

Please do not buy this particular SSD
There is a common issue that plagues ALL crucial NVMe SSD's.
The Crucial P1 has an issue where the firmware does not strictly follow NVMe Protocol and will become undetectable after heavy use and will only reappear after a reboot. This SSD also overheats like crazy and will peak 60C easily. I have had a few replacement Crucial P1 SSD's and all have the same issue where they become undetectable after a month of use. Please buy a different brand such as samsung or western digital if you desire reliability.
TESTED IN AN MSI GS65 AND A XIAOMI MI NOTEBOOK PRO.

Doesn't work in Dell gaining laptop
Crucial recommend this SSD as an upgrade for my particular model of laptop.
Have tried 2 of these and both cause the same issue - blue screen with intensive i/o. Gets to about 60 degrees then errors.
Replace with original Samsung SSD and laptop is stable again.
