at Scan Invitational #5!
Scan Invitational #5 gave us some Starcraft II action and a reminder that cleanliness is king!
Earlier this month we saw some amazing action in the fifth Scan Invitational where 8 invited players battled it out in Starcraft II for a £1000 prize pool. The final was between Lucifron from Team Karont3 and Thorzain from Team Evil Genius, where Lucifron took the series and the tournament 4-0.
During the tournament our good friends over at Antec gave us some prizes to give away to the person who posted the best picture of their dirty rig on our Facebook page. Here are a few we received, is your rig this bad?
Erik Holmgren’s rig seems to have had a good night out on the town!
Joakim Valfridsson has a picture of caster 2GD in his rig in an attempt to attract the dust.
Jacob Bollerslev is in serious need of giving some TLC to his poor rig.

Some good submissions and really bad cleaning of those rigs. Keeping your rig clean and as dust free as possible not only makes it look better but keeps it performing better. In a dusty environment your rig can intake alot of dust and as we all know dust will get in any nook and cranny. So here are some products we recommend for keeping your rig performing and super clean!
Fan
Good fans make for good airflow, good airflow makes for better dust control. The benefit is also the silence that some fans can achieve like the Antec TrueQuiet range for example. Noctua also have a range of fans which are some of the most popular for quiet performance.
Cleaning Solution
Some sprays for screen and other hardware cleaning mean alot of residue. With this kit from Antec the product itself leaves no residue when used with the microfibre cloth it leaves out of the box as new results. There seems to be nothing it cannot clean when at LAN the travel sized bottle will serve you and your team mates well.
Dust Spray
Hands on is not everybody’s approach to removing dust so with compressed air the inside of your case, keyboard and even your desk can be dust free in seconds. Simply spray away with all the dust on the floor simply get out your vacuum or pan and brush.
Hard Drive case

Cyber Clean
