One of the main frustrations of graphical workstation users is that their system becomes effectively unusable while rendering content. Traditionally this means either leaving renders until the end of the day and setting them running overnight, which has a big impact on productivity. Alternatively investment in costly render farm servers would address this issue, but at great expense - not an avenue open to many organisations.
This problem is solved by the Virtual Rendering Service (vRS) - delivered by 3XS Cloud - which offloads rendering from the local workstation to NVIDIA EGX Servers in the cloud, cutting rendering times and boosting productivity by enabling you to move onto another task on your workstation.
NVIDIA EGX Server
The NVIDIA EGX Server is a highly flexible reference design that combines up to eight NVIDIA RTX visualisation GPU cards with NVLink technology and leading third-party rendering applications to deliver exceptional compute power in a fully validated server system.
Our NVIDIA EGX servers are housed in secure data centres in a variety of locations around the UK to guarantee not only maximum uptime, but data integrity too.
Rendering Software Packages
3XS Cloud Rendering supports a variety of GPU-accelerated render engines including V-Ray, Autodesk Arnold and Cycles for Blender with more platform being brought online all the time.
You can render anything imaginable with V-Ray - whether it be revolutionary designs, moving stories or mind-blowing art. Whatever your vision, V-Ray helps you bring it to life by creating photorealistic imagery and animation with one of the industry’s leading 3D renderers.
V-Ray is compatible with these top 3D modelling and design applications: 3ds Max, Maya, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, Modo, Cinema 4D, Unreal, Houdini, Nuke and Blender.
You can render high-quality 3D images faster with Autodesk Arnold – so you can focus on the art. Arnold software is an advanced Monte Carlo ray tracing renderer that helps you to work more efficiently by interactivity producing immediate results, leaving more time for iterations. The controls and UI are simple and intuitive.
Arnold rendering software can be used in conjunction with Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Cinema 4D, and Katana software.
Cycles Path Tracing
Cycles is a physically based path tracer for production renderer developed by the Blender project. It is designed to provide physically based results out-of-the-box, with artistic control and flexible shading nodes so light and materials behave realistically due to mathematical functions that simulate real light behaviour.
Cycles is natively integrated in Blender, Poser, and Rhino.
