Powerful and reliable trading PCs are a key tool in the arsenal of successful stock traders. Leveraging our expertise in building thousands of PCs a month, we cherry pick the finest components for our trading PCs such as whisper quiet fans and lighting fast SSDs.
The CPU or processor is the most important component in a stock trading computer, so we recommend the latest Intel Core i5 and i7 processors which have four or more cores as this will enable you to run multiple trading applications at once. More cores will allow you to run more applications at once smoothly. Our engineers can also overclock and tune these CPUs for maximum performance. Overclocking does generate extra heat, so our stock trading computers include high performance heatsinks and low noise fans so you can work in peace. In addition, we route and tidy all the cables around the sides of the case. This not only makes your PC easier to maintain and upgrade, it also eases airflow through the case resulting in a cooler and quieter PC.
Alongside super-fast Intel CPUs, our day trading PCs include the latest high-speed DDR4 system memory and SSDs as these help to boost system responsiveness. We include a minimum of 8GB of DDR4 RAM and recommend 16GB or higher if you are planning on running multiple trading and data analytics applications at once.
As standard, we fit our trading computers with SSDs, which use solid-state memory, instead of the spinning disks found inside traditional mechanical HDDs. This not only makes SSDs much more reliable than HDDs, but also an order of magnitude faster. For instance, the typical latency, which is the time taken for a drive to start accessing data is around 16ms for a HDD and less than 0.03ms for an SSD, so an SSD is more than 500 times faster at starting to read or write than a HDD, which may give you an edge in trading when time is critical.

SSDs are also much faster than HDDs at transferring data, with a typical SSD reading and writing data three times faster than an HDD. There also even faster SSDs available too, which use the PCI-E bus to communicate, this new PCI-E SSDs being 20 times faster at transferring data than an HDD.

Having good visibility of data is crucial for successful trading, so Scan 3XS trading computers support multiple monitors. Even our entry-level trading computers support four displays, with support for up to 16 monitors available on other systems.
For professional trading floors, we recommend the NVIDIA NVS range of cards as these are engineered for maximum reliability and compatibility in multiple-display configurations. NVS cards include the nView software, which provides unprecedented end-user control of applications for increased productivity and NVIDIA Enterprise Management Tools, which is a tool for remote managing graphics and monitor settings throughout your business.
If you are trading from home or in your spare time, you may want to consider an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card as these support multiple displays but can also be used for entertainment use such as gaming.
We don’t just make fast Forex trading computers, we also make the most reliable systems in the market. For instance, we stress test all overclocked systems with a 24 hour burn-in test to ensure stability, while our strenuous Quality Control procedure includes updating Windows, installing the latest drivers and motherboard BIOS to ensure you have a great out-of-box experience.
