Intel’s been on a mission of late. That mission revolves around grouping and standardising key technologies under various banners that are designed to ensure hardware compatibility and consumer ease of use. We’ll take a closer look at three such technologies that fall under the headings of Centrino, Viiv, and vPro, respectively.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Be quiet! Shadow Rock LP, Low-Profile Top Flow Single Tower CPU Cooler, 4 Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, 130W TDP, Intel/AMD is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from MSI Z97-G45 Gaming-Intel i5-4690k Costing just £33 pounds the Quality of this Cooler is top notch and with a TDP of 130 should on paper cope with my system....the fitting was like all others when you fit them for the first time but the Fan does not seem very well supported with the clips provided....but it works very well and that is why I went for it over the big tower coolers....It fits on the above Motherboard but you do lose the first Ram Slot and it is tight to the first Graphics slot but OK...only time will tell when I overclock but early suggestions seem spot on....I use the MSI Intel Extreme Overclock Facility so can keep an eye on it....Noise level is excellent and it looks a quality product fitting in with my Be Quiet Silent Wings case Fans and Power Supply....I now have a very quiet system and this Cooler deserves your Discussion....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance! This cooler is probably the best I've used, for a low-profile format, and even in mid-30 degrees ambient, on full throttle, the CPU didn't nudge above 50 degrees once, compared to 65-68 with the stock Intel item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from from very noisey to silent Product installed easy and silenced an older PC the was hardly used because it was so noisy!
