Improved Efficiency on the EVGA GTX 970 FTW
To get improved efficiency in the AXC 2.0 EVGA had to do a full re-design on the motor, one main point that was changed is how the internals are designed which reduce the acoustic noise from the fans. EVGA also increased the amount of fan blades, which in turn creates higher pressure allowing the heat sink and fan to cool better without having to increase the motor speed and noise levels. This will help reduce the temperatures of the card and keep the noise of the fan down increasing the lifespan of the card, in addition all of these factors free up extra power for overclocking.
