Web Content Creator

We are looking for a Web Content Creator to join our growing team. We are looking for a professional, passionate and driven individual who has a natural interest and excellent product knowledge within tech or coming from a relevant job role. As a Web Content Creator, you will be responsible for ensuring new products are listed on the website in a timely manner including an overview of the product, listing correct specifications and photo editing.

The role is suitable for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, technical and collaborative environment, who can work effectively as part of a team whilst also being able to confidently manage their own workload.

Scan is a family-run technology and computing business founded in Bolton, Greater Manchester in 1987. Now with over 350 teammates we’re looking to expand our focus on Marketing with several new position within the team. Scan’s core business is centred around computer hardware and gaming but also has eight rapidly growing business units all targeting different professions such as music & audio, graphics and AI – all of whom need their own marketing focus. The Candidate

For this role. you would ideally have the following skills:

• BSC/ BA in a Computing or relevant course or long-term experience within Adobe Creative Suite would be beneficial to this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven experience of copy writing or creative writing.
• Computer literate and confident within Microsoft Office.
• An understanding of Computing hardware and equipment is desirable (Processors, Motherboards, Graphics Cards, etc.)
• Understanding or experience with Basic HTML would be desirable.
• An understanding of creative applications is also desirable (Adobe Creative Suite).

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Head of Standard Content and Purchasing Team to create and review effective, clear and correct content for each product listed on the main site.
• Working with the Purchasing Team and Content Team to ensure new products are listed on site in a timely manner utilising assets/specifications provided by vendors.
• Monitoring and reviewing current and existing product pages to keep them up-to-date, and relevant, working with the Purchasing and SEO/Marketing Teams when required.
• Editing imagery using Adobe Photoshop to fit with Scans in-house style.
• Provide support to the Head of Web Content around day to day tasks across content, product and team.
