The Scan Pro Video Business Unit are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Purchaser to manage the ordering, pricing and purchasing strategy of their growing product and brand portfolio. As the Purchaser you will be working closely with our core Vendors and Brands, requiring strong communication, negotiation and admin skills to ensure optimised stock holding, pricing, margin and protection. Supported by the dedicated purchasing Admin, you will work together to ensure all systems and processes are up to date with regular written reports to be delivered to the Business Unit Head and Vendor Manager. Working daily with the sales team to support them with requests for ETAs, pricing and updates for customer and internal team visibility means responsive, proactive and team focused skill sets are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a confident negotiator to ensure best pricing and terms with suppliers
- Working with the BU Manager and Vendor Manager to ensure Margin is reviewed and optimised regularly
- Frequent price and stock checks across the Pro Video lines
- Interaction with the Sales channels, Finance, Warehouse and Returns teams
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of Scan’s services
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Representing Scan in a professional manner at all times
- Increase product knowledge through personal research and ongoing internal training
Skills and Experience:
- Experienced Purchaser with 5+ years’ experience
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proactive, energetic and solution focused
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize day to day tasks
- Works well with in a team and brings active contributions and ideas
- An interest in the Pro Video and/ or Media Industry desirable
- Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
- High quality and professional communication skills
- High levels of effort, commitment and drive
- Comfortable working over Teams and other Video Conferencing platforms
