I wanted a good processor for a decent price. I am not bothered about over-clocking, so this was perfect for me.

Cant fault this at all, its perfect for a system that is needed to be quick and stable, but not being pushed past its limits. It runs cool and fast.

After wanting to upgrade my processing power to run modern games & music production programs, I chose to go with the Intel Core i5 4440.
As you would expect, Intel's craftsmanship is always top-notch and the processor delivers enough power to run most intensive applications out there. I'm very happy with its performance and it has definitely been a step-up from the dual core range of processors I've been using.
However, take note that this processor is locked so you won't be able to overclock it over 3.3GHz. This may be off-putting to a large chuck of gamers who are looking to push their systems to the limit.
Personally, the next time I come to buy a new processor, I will keep my eye out for any unlocked versions. With being only slightly more costly, the unlocked products will provide more flexibility to users' needs.

I purchased this for a mini-ITX gaming rig, and paired it with a Radeon R9 270X.
Overall, I am very happy with its performance; I'm graphics card limited in every game I've tested so far, including Battlefield 4. So this processor is more than sufficient for a mid-range gaming rig, without having to spend more on an unlocked processor.
The supplied low-profile stock cooler is surprisingly effective, the chip doesn't exceed 60*C under Prime95 (using a somewhat more aggressive fan curve) in my Case (Bitfenix Prodigy), but may get hotter in other cases. However the fan is rather loud at higher RPMs.
This processor is multiplier locked, so you can't overclock it to a significant degree, but most decent boards will be able to force it to permanently turbo to 3.3 GHz on all four cores. Either way, it's got more than enough power to run modern games paired with a mid-tier GPU such as GTX 760 or R9 270X.
A really nice little Quad-core with plenty of horsepower for mid-range gaming. Could be a little cheaper when compared to some AMD offerings, but makes up for it in performance.

Received this as part of a system I was building, took it out the box and installed it into the Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3 system board and all went fine, no tweaking required.

The cpu is slower then I though. I read a bunch of test before I purchased but none of them been accurate about this one I say i5 Hasswell is a bit Overrated.
Good thing is that even under heavy load gaming (BF3) with the own gpu(HD4600) never go above then 40 degree.
