Rated 5 out of 5 by Rathy Exactly what i needed
I've upgraded from a i7 920 that i brought in 2007 its still going in my htpc. I can see this i7 4790k lasting just as long as my i7 920. It overclocks like a champ 4.8ghz right off the bat and at 1.275v fantastic cpu and the performance increase i've had totally justified the upgrade but i would still like Intel to drop their prices hence the 4 for value

Rated 4 out of 5 by TomK Performs as expected
No problems, certainly impressive, but when you pay this much that's what you expect. Does what it says on the tin kinda thing

Rated 5 out of 5 by battleborn an amazing upggrade
I moved from an amd fx 8350 to this on my previous processor was pretty good. But in comparison its nothing for example assassins creed black flag, 1080p ultra settings i struggled at 40-60fps with this processor i jump up to 1440p at 60 + fps Thats more fps at 75% more pixels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ryan001 More power than most will need for a reasonable price
Combined with my H110 cooler and new z97 board, I just changed two bios settings and I'm running comfortably at 4.6GHz. A more than worthy replacement for my ageing i7-920. I used the built in 4600 graphics while waiting for my card, it was surprisingly good for what it is. Played any game I tried, on lower settings of course.

Rated 4 out of 5 by gregtek fast.
faster and cooler then AMD fx8350 but standard cooler is too weak for this level of chip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dgm0151 Excellent CPU and will run 4.4 out of the box!
I bought this CPU because of the 4.4ghz it offers and my last 4770k was overclocked at 4.4 and that is my cpu's sweet spot. Overall top quality chip however does seem to run a little hot but Haswell chips do run a little hot a h100 should keep it at reasonable temperatures.
