Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Made to order I brought the 8350 with the intention of running multiple programs atonce, especially when gaming. I like to check speeds temps loads fps an so forth so requirements needed something heavy. The 8350 delivered those requirements. I play and work with no problems. Just waiting to overclock. Only niggle is the cpu fan. It's a bit on the noisy side. But if you plan to over clock, an after market cooler will be needed and appreciated in its noise output... 28 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stick with 8320 if your only going to 4.4ghz. Great chip, recommend it if your water-cooling. I'd recommend full tower case with fan's if your getting the pre-made water loop's. 15 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by good stuff I hav this running on a crosshair formula 5 mobo will water cooling, 8gb amd memory and an ati radion 290. Runs sweet ad a nut and with the rest of my machine, i still havnt found anything to truly put it thru it paces yet. Speedy delivery and good quality packaging. Very pleased 22 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect for work, not as good at play, but is set to be better supported in the future The virtualisation features make this CPU a necessity for people running virtual machines but the 8 cores also make it great for multi-threaded work such as computer aided design (CAD). With games providing better multi-thread support and the newly released consoles having a custom version of this processor in it means the longevity of the processor in gaming is better than a similarly priced Intel one despite Intel having a performance advantage at the moment. The processor is very responsive during normal use in Windows 8.1, you wouldn't notice a difference between this and an Intel i5, but it manages to do better than my old 4 core Intel processor when there are more windows open which is great. Good features, very good price and a promising future with multi-threaded support getting better. 31 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bang for your Buck! I have bought this CPU because it was just as good as an i5 3570k - 4670k, but this is bang for your buck and it goes really well with an AMD R9 270X Toxic edition and a Zalman Z5 case. The stock cooling is good if you don't OC it to Much! 07 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic An amazing processor very very fast. The only thing i would suggest is buying a better cpu cooler, as the one it comes with is painfully loud. Playing BF4 was awful, i could hear the fan through my headset. 07 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by price to performance is where its at unfortunately didnt win the silicon lottery, however ive managed to get it stable on 4.8ghz overclock, does the job and i doubt this product will become outdated any time soon, very happy 04 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent! This product is brilliant for gaming. No frame rate issues at all, PC boots up extremely fast. I would recommend this product to anybody. And I'd just like to say how excellent the service at scan.co.uk was as well. Order got here next day and was informed every step ofthe way where it was. Brilliant. 03 March 2014

Answer:
This will offer slight improvements but for really noticeable performance gains you will really need to look at using one of the intel processors.

Answer:
This CPU would help with the FPS by about 10 in a game like bf4 but i think the real thing holding you back is the GPU with game like bf4. A new GPU would see more alot a performance increase in that game. That CPU is capable of playing BF4 well with a good GPU. a good 270 or 270X would be better and give prob around 20-30 FPS over current setup. You could also go with a 8320, the performance would be near the same as the 8350 with the current GPU. If you are going with 8350 or the 8320 make sure you have good cooling as during a game like bf4 you will be getting way to hot with the stock heat sink. i use a H80 with a 8350 and its around 70 at heavy loads.

Answer:
Go with 8320, 4.4ghz and anything in the same category as 650 TI 2gig boost GPU.
Better off with AMD GPU's for battlefield and that.
If you find you have a spare £250-300 then 8350 with x60.
Make sure you have 850-1000w power-supply gold platinum.
Asus saboretooth broad.
