Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product CPU: I5-4570 MB: Gigabyte H87M-HD3 8GB 1333MHz Crucial RAM GPU: XFX R9-270X PSU: Corsair CX500 Case: Corsair 200R I have been using this GPU for about 3 months now for gaming mostly, while it isn't powerful enough to have graphical settings at the maximum on the latest games at 1920x1080 (BF4, Metro:LL), it isn't far off and still maintains 45-60fps at 1080p with slightly less than maximum detail selected although this will be affected by other components in my desktop. I have had a few problems with the graphics drivers for this card while using YouTube or Word (not while gaming) which has resulted in the card crashing (research on the internet indicated to driver problems) and showing a grey or green screen which meant the computer needed restarting. The card was larger than I thought it would be, although it still fits in the case with space to spare. It has been a good card and worth the cost. The card hasn't had any problems while gaming. 21 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great great card for money and performance. Got this baby coupled in the Scan G30A system since didn't want to risk messing up and breaking it all as I'm no expert... Fine service and set-up from Scan, all works a charm, Great looking card, performance is amazing for that price. Arma II on high got a peak of 85FPS and average of 50 on both benchmarks. Just Cause 2 benchmark got 180FPS on max peak and 120 average. FarCry3 on high (second highest) gameplay averages out at around 40-60 area with a peak of 70-ish. Cooling wise, has never got hot, warm once or twice because of PC placement at the time but never hot. It's quiet, very quiet, at max load you can't hear it over none noise cancelling headphones even close to it. Awesome all round. 24 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Few install issues but once all was done a fine GPU for fast gaming. Just got mine today, had a little bit of a problem installing it in a Zalman Z11 Plus case as the 2 back bracket screws wernt quite alined with the ones on case so had to kind of bend the screws a bit which concerned me. Then I had a driver install problem where the GPU basically wouldn't OC and wouldn't stay in game for longer than 10mins or so and would just crash out! Turned out to be temp. related as my GPUz side gadget was showing quite high temps on auto-restart. I solved this by running DDU which is a program that removes all traces of other GPU drivers and there in was the problem my old HD7770 was STILL being detected. So I wiped drivers and started again its great! maxing out on V-Sync on almost every game I have plus great benchmark results with the Unigine set of demos. Its a great upgrade from my old GPU and I am happy with Scan on this one! :) Seems a solidly built card too as it took a little 'GPU man handling' to get in, also came with 2 6pin molex adapters where each 6pin piece had 2 molex connectors, I didnt need this as I just added a 6+2 PCIE power cord to my modular PSU. Still I guess this would help people with older PSUs. Also a crossfire bridge was included as well as several documents and quick install guides etc. 22 April 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Plenty fast for 1080p gaming. Quiet and great-looking card. I purchased the r270x to replace the HD5750 in my HTPC / Couch gaming System. It needed a little more power than the HD5750, but I was able to keep my old 430W PSU and run it from that with no problems at all. Gets fantastic framerates in modern games like Assasins Creed 4, Titanfall and Battlefield 4. Maybe not quite as fast as a £300 card like a 280x or an nvidia 780ti, but for the money it is very good. 31 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing GPU Unbelievably good, can run all games on ultra at 60fps, just make sure you get a good processor and motherboard too! 07 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by buy one! installed mine this morning been playing battlefield 4 in ultra most the day, no over heating no problems and the card its self is probably the best looking card i have ever seen or owned. very happy with this product defiantly going to buy another in the near future and crossfire it :) 03 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome card, highly recommend I bought this card not too long ago and i will be buying another asap. the card performs much better than my expectations with no problems at all. i play all games on ultra settings and always getting at least 45-50fps. The card barely gets warm let alone hot thanks to the dual fans. It is also surprisingly quiet unless you whack the fans up to 100%, but left on auto its virtually silent. The card is very solid too, no cheap flimsy parts on it. The matte black finish on it looks amazing too, to me its by far the best looking card around. Also has good potential for OC, out the box mine was at 1050mhz and iv currently got it running at 1200mhz with no issues at all 16 January 2014

Answer:
The current offer from AMD only covers the HD 7800 and 7900 series of cards and as such the offer isnt valid on the new Rx series I am afraid.
