The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

120mm Akasa AK-174BK-S Black Case Fan, 3 Pin, Sleeve Bearing Ultra Quiet (17dBA) Retail is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used these fans on a couple of PCs now. I have used these fans many times now and have recommended to friends who arn't concerned with those ghastly LED fans. They do exactly as they say on the tin. Provide great cooling whilst remaining quiet. I will continue to use these fans until I deem it necessary to buy ghastly LED ones or Akasa release another model which is even quieter at the same price point.
