Product Overview
This desktop switch offers an inexpensive alternative to fibre optics for the SOHO and small and medium business (SMB). Increasing network loads can be handled with the increased bandwidth of Gigabit Ethernet.
Features
• 8 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit ports on Cat. 5
• 16Gbps switching fabric
• Auto MDI/MDIX cross over for all ports
• Secure store-and-forward switching scheme
• Full/half-duplex for Ethernet/Fast Ethernet speeds
• Blazing 2000Mbps full duplex for Gigabit speed
• IEEE 802.3x Flow Control
• Plug-and-play installation
• Easily installable on desktop
Gigabit connectivity without fibre
The switch provides 8 Gigabit ports in the familiar Ethernet format, so it works seamlessly with existing network cables (Cat5 or higher). Up to 2000 Mbps can be achieved in full-duplex mode, giving workstations bottleneck-free access to server data.
Plug-and-Play installation
All there is to do is plug the cables into the switch. All ports support both straight-through and crossover cable types, eliminating the need for an uplink port. With 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-sensing, no configuration is required.
Green Ethernet edition
The latest hardware revision of the switch (E1) introduces the first energy-saving features in the networking arena.
