Intel Core i9 Socket 2066 Skylake-X Processors

These new high-end Core X CPUs are based on the Skylake X architecture and are designed to fit into the new Socket 2066 and so require an Intel X299 motherboard. These CPUs support up to 18 cores plus HyperThreading and so are ideal for heavy multitasking and content creation applications.

As the LGA2066 socket has the same external dimensions as LGA2011-3 you can use any of these coolers with a LGA2066 CPU.

Intel Core i7 Socket 2066 Skylake-X Processors

Intel Core i9 Socket 1151 Coffee Lake Processors

Intel 9th generation Core i7 Coffee Lake processors have 8 physical cores plus 8 HyperThreading cores, allowing them to work on up to 16 threads simultaneously. Despite the Core i9 branding, these CPUs are compatible with mainstream Z370 and Z390 motherboards and don't require a more expensive X299 motherboard.

Please Note: Some Intel Z370 motherboards will support these processors. Please check the list of supported CPUs for your motherboard before purchasing one of these processors to ensure it is compatible

Intel Core i7 Socket 1151 Coffee Lake Processors

This category contains a mix of Intel 8th and 9th generation Core i7 Coffee Lake which have more cores and cache memory than the Core i5s, giving them much faster performance, especially in CPU intensive tasks such as graphics processing, video encoding and music mixing.

8th gen Core i7s have 6 physical cores plus HyperThreading while the more powerful 9th gen Core i7 processors have 8 physical cores.

Please Note: Despite using the same LGA1151 socket as 7th & 6th Gen. CPUs, ONLY Intel 300 Series Motherboards are compatible with these 8th and 9th Gen. 'Coffee Lake' CPUs.

Intel Core i3 Socket 1151 Coffee Lake Processors

These 8th Generation Intel Core i3 Coffee Lake quad-core processors are much faster than the cheaper Celeron and Pentium models thanks to having more cores and cache memory which enables them to process up to four threads at a time. Due to their higher frequency and larger cache Core i3's are much faster than Pentiums, and are the cheapest CPU we recommend for a more intensive tasks such as gaming and image editing.

Please Note: Despite using the same LGA1151 socket as 7th & 6th Gen. CPUs, ONLY Intel 300 Series Motherboards are compatible with these 8th Gen. 'Coffee Lake' CPUs.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2nd Gen. Socket TR4 Processors

AMD 2nd generation Ryzen Threadripper CPUs feature improved performance over 1st gen CPUs and up to 32 cores with SMT technology and so can process up to 64 threads in parallel. This makes these ultra high-end processors ideal for heavily multi-threaded applications such as video encoding and 3D rendering or running lots of applications at once. These multi-core CPUs support ultra-fast quad-channel DDR4 memory and with 64 PCI-E lanes can support multiple graphics cards and other devices such as RAID controllers, sound cards. These high-end CPUs use the special Socket TR4 and require a motherboard based on the AMD X399 chipset.

Some 2nd gen Ryzen Threadripper CPUs have a very high TDP. Please ensure that your motherboard and CPU cooler are adequate before installing the CPU.
