ENJOYMENT THAT STAYS WITH YOUThe Yamaha YDP-S35 models all come with a piano voice sampled from Yamaha’s flagship CFX concert grand piano, a renowned piano featuring shimmering highs and a powerful resonant bass resulting in a stunningly expressive sound. The YDP-S35 has the same detailed sound from the lower keys to the higher keys, with plenty of clarity and rich in colour and character. The YDP-S35 offers incredible power and nuance that authentically responds just as well in daily practice as it does on stage.
With an 88-key piano action, the GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keyboard replicates the touch of an acoustic piano, from a naturally heavy feel in the lower key to a lighter touch in the higher octaves. The GHS keyboard has a grand piano-style response and feel, allowing rapid note repetition and authentic expressive control. There's also a half-damper feature that authentically replicates the damper action on grand piano, offering rich expressive variation.

Just Like A Grand PianoOne of the benefits of the grand piano is the sympathetic resonance created by the vibration of the whole instrument. The YDP-S35 successfully reproduces this rich sympathetic resonance using groundbreaking Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite) technology.
VRM Lite creates a richly diverse sound by simulating the complex sympathetic tones generated when the vibrations of the strings are propagated to the soundboard and other strings, corresponding to the timing and intensity of key playing and pedaling.
Intuitive Operation With Smart Pianist App
A Wide Variety of Built-In SongsThee YDP-S35 has a naturally authentic grand piano sound, but also features multiple other built-in instrument sounds, with a total of 10 Voices, including electric piano, organ, vibraphone, and strings.
The YDP-S35 also has 353 built-in songs, 50 famous classical songs with 303 comprehensive practice exercises from famous methods, including Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny, and Hanon. The instrument is also compatible with Yamaha's free Smart Pianist app, just download the app to your smart device and connect it to the instrument (cable connection required).
Using the Smart Pianist app, you can simply operate the various Voice functions of the instrument and use it to call up scores of the built-in songs. It also features a comprehensive Piano Room function for changing the tonal quality and resonance settings of the piano sound.
