The Tascam TM82 has a fantastic crisp, yet balanced tone with much better plosive rejection than most other dynamic mics due to the shape of it's windscreen. All of our team picked this out as the best budget mic for close up speech compared to a selection that included SM58, BETA 58, E835 & E935! It does have a bit more handling noise than the others, but as podcasters would normally use it on a table stand anyway, that we also have included, that's not an issue and we've even thrown in a cable as well to complete the job.
