Product Overview In 2012, with the introduction of low wattage CPU’s also the change in the mainstream preferences towards smaller and minimalistic PC cases, we at Thermalright have also adjusted our lineup. Traditional 160mm tower coolers may now have compatibility issues with mainstream cases. This is why we’ve designed the world’s smallest 120mm fan based cooler, the TRUE Spirit 120M(BW) Rev.A! Built on the basis of Thermalright’s successful TRUE Spirit 120M, the TRUE Spirit 120M(BW) Rev.A.

Built on the basis of Thermalright’s successful TRUE Spirit 120M, the TRUE Spirit 120M(BW) Rev.A is Thermalright advancement towards Silence, Performance and Compatibility. Made specifically for Micro ATX users, the total height is only 145mm, almost 16% lower than the 160mm Tower standards that Thermalright has set years ago. Along with a full sized 120mm fan, the TRUE Spirit 120M(BW) Rev.A is the best companion for your slim case.

By fine tuning the four high quality copper heatpipes, engineered to be slanted toward the back of the cooler, Thermalright has managed to keep the same heat dissipation surface area and 120mm fan. The beauty of the new heatpipe design is that it effectively eliminates all RAM interference issues.

The TRUE Spirit 120M(BW) Rev.A allows Micro ATX and slim case user to be free from mediocre coolers, opening the door for extreme overclocking and high-end RAM.

The TRUE Spirit 120M(BW) Rev.A’s 120mm PWM fan lets users strike a perfect combination of airflow and silence. Universally compatible with all modern sockets on the market

(Intel LGA 2011/115x/1366/775 and AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+/FM1/FM2) It fits almost any case and any board, the TRUE Spirit120M(BW) Rev.A is the full package, at a budget price point!.
Features • World ‘s smallest 120mm fan based tower cooler.
• Made specifically for Micro ATX &mini tower case user.
• Universally compatible with all modern sockets on the market.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

There’s been a lot of hype about Intel’s Core 2 recently, even since they launched Core in fact. Words like Conroe, Badaxe and Allendale have been flying around. The bottom line is that Core 2 is the name of Intel’s latest line of CPUs, based on a new micro-architecture, designed for speed and efficiency.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Really Good This cooler is great. Its silent and keeps my AMD FX 8320 about 8 C below stock cooler and I am overclocking mine to 4 ghz. No noise makes a huge difference. 14 April 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent product I bought this cooler for i7 930 Bloomfield 2.8Ghz because fan on my original heatsink broke. I have Antec P180 (ish) case and ASUS P6T SE Motherboard with LGA1366 socket. The price was good and I though it's better to pay a little more and have something the others were also happy with. I was thinking about Cooler Master EVO 212 and Akasa Nero. Montage of Cooler Master was questionable. I could not find reviews on internet apart from one test on bit-tech.net about Akasa Nero. The size of other coolers were also problematic as I was not sure I could fir it in my case. I bough this one. It fits perfectly in my case. The only issue (not issue to me) for someone would be the montage because it requires access to MB from back side to put four screws to attach the kit in front side. And essentially I had to take everything out to have more space to eventually attach this cooler. If one doesn't feel comfortable with things like this, one might need extra hands for this. Other that that, there's no issues at all. The montage was easy and without troubles. Another issue might be that other coolers are compatible with more sockets. This one fits only a few. The performance is fantastic. I am genuinely happy with it. I've had it for 1 weeks now. It's very quite and RPM in normal circumstances has not exceed 600 apart from a test I did and mentioned below. Now I wish I could have quieter fans attacjed to case ;p Scores: - on idle the processor temperature is about 37°C on idle with rare peaks up to 41°C which is perfectly OK to me. On idle we should expect the temperature of a processor to be ~ 15°C higher than an ambient temperature. Mine is 22°C so the temp is absolutely correct. Full load: I did a test to put my processor into full load 100% for 1 h 45 mins. I essentially run Prime95 which make constant calculations of prime numbers, FFT etc. and put processors into extremes. The temperature did not exceed 65°C which is IMO excellent score. Generally, once it seats on processor it does its job :) 06 March 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Does the job but.. This has solved the problem of my CPU overheating when playing games which occurred with the standard heatsink/fan. The only problem I has was actually fitting it in my case which is a normal sized tower to get it to fit into my case I had to remove one of the fans on the side of the case as well as fit the heatsink fan facing a rear fan rather then on the side facing the front fan of my case 17 October 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Noisy fan It was the CPU cooler I was looking for, a 120mm fan but less than 160mm of height... Also, I was looking for a quiet fan. And this met my requirements... In my case, the fan is making a continuous clicking noise. So I am installing it with the fan of another cooler (better in my opinion but I couldn't install the other cooler because it was 160mm height). I guess I had bad luck with the fan I received. But I don't going to spend time and money to get it exchanged. 18 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent! Relatively easy to fit, good build quality, excellent cooling and matches my Fractal Design Define R4 case really well! And a really good price too. Very pleased. 14 August 2013
