Chassis Airflow
Chassis Airflow
Date Issued: 20th Oct 2008

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Thermalright Basically it does a fantastic job that's why it's one of the best Thermal pastes on the market. I would highly recommend it especially if you have a high Amd processor.. 12 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use and does a great job. I didn't bother with the spreader malarky, just used the pea method. Temps are absolutely fine under stress. Would definately recommend. 30 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good quality paste Used this to reseat an Icy Vision cooler on my 7970. Originally had MX-2 on and using this dropped temps by 3-4 degs. Not convinced on the recommended application method. Ive always used the pea in the middle method rather than the recommended line at one side and use the included card to spread across. Good consistency and plenty left for more use though. 04 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what is meant to well Rebuilt my pc around a new mobo. Bought this just because it was there but it has made a massive difference under my Be Quiet Dark Rock. i7-2700k 29degrees idle 55 degrees 100 % load 25 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use cool paste Used to re-seat 5 year old CPU & heat-sink. Processor now runs several degrees cooler than it did previously. Easy enough to work with and apply as well with plenty left over for further applications in the future. 06 September 2013
