Turn Your Sonicview Into a Powerful Recording Console
For more than 50 years, Tascam has been renowned for its multi-track recording technology. Legendary for their combination of solid reliability and outstanding audio quality, Tascam recorders have been at the heart of countless recording studios and field recording systems around the world.
The latest addition to this tradition, the IF-MTR32 multitrack recording card, turns a Tascam Sonicview 16 or Sonicview 24 digital mixer into a powerful recording console for broadcast, production and recording studios, live/relay broadcast and recording, a wide variety of fixed installation applications, as well as the recording of bands and live events.
High-definition multi-track recording
added with a simple extension cardWith the addition of the optional IF-MTR32 card, your Tascam Sonicview becomes a mixing and multi-track recording console capable of recording up to 32 tracks at 48 kHz or up to 16 tracks at 96 kHz directly to an SDXC card – all with the same 32-bit precision used in Sonicview mixers.
By the way, you can work with 32 tracks at 48 kHz or 16 tracks at 96 kHz, regardless of the Sonicview’s sync clock.

All The Features Pros Need
quickly access locationsMore than just an audio capture device, the IF-MTR32 provides the critical recording features that professionals need. The recorder allows simultaneous punch-in/punch-out across 32 tracks, allowing you to overwrite parts of a recording with overdubs. Pre-record and auto-record are available, and you can also place markers wherever you like to quickly access locations for later editing.
The integrity of your recordings is always paramount. That’s why the IF-MTR32 automatically saves and closes files every 60 seconds during recording to prevent data loss. Just let the recorder do its job and concentrate on mixing!
Features To Boost Your Workflow
Integrated with Tascam Sonicview for easy controlThe IF-MTR32 is tightly integrated with the host Sonicview mixer, making it easy to manage the recording process while mixing an event or session. All operations are easy to perform. For example, transport and other functions can be assigned to the Sonicview's colour touch screen or user keys. The Sonicview’s GPIO ports and footswitch jack can be used to operate the unit from an external control device.
Work with standard file formatsTransferring tracks and mixes between an IF-MTR32 card and your favourite DAW is easy with support for Broadcast Wave (BWF) file import and export.
BWF is an advanced version of the popular WAV format.
It contains timecode information and other metadata and is used in audio, film, radio and television production.
16-in/16-out Dante Stage Box
Tascam - SB-16D
Top-Quality Audio Begins HereThe Tascam SB-16D is a Dante-enabled active stage box with 16 analogue inputs and 16 analogue outputs. Equipped with 32-bit A/D converters and Class 1 HDIA microphone preamps, the SB-16D analogue interface captures your audio in the highest quality right at the start of the signal path. You can use multiple devices simultaneously in a Dante network – placed on the floor or mounted in a rack.
The SB-16D has the same performance and hardware quality as Tascam Sonicview live recording consoles, offering all the advantages of Dante networking, combined with seamless integration with Sonicview mixers and other Dante-enabled products from Tascam – and other manufacturers.
16 x XLRMic Preamps
2 x Dante, 1 x DB-25 (GPIO)Data I/O
16 x 16Channels
at a glance
• Dante-enabled stage box and interface with 16 analogue audio inputs and outputs
• Redundant Dante operation using Primary/Secondary lines
• Up to 96 kHz sampling frequency at 32-bit resolution
• Fully controllable from connected Sonicview mixer
• Equipped with etherCON-compatible connectors
Seamless Integration with Sonicview Mixers
easy to useWhen an SB-16D stage box is connected to a Tascam Sonicview, microphone gain can be remotely controlled from the mixing console, and all inputs and outputs come up on the touchscreens for hassle-free ease of use.
Along with this, the SB-16D is equipped with a GPIO interface with eight inputs and outputs. These expand to 16 GPIO ins and outs when connected to a Sonicview mixer, facilitating parallel control.
A Complete Package With the Features You Need
Seamless operationEasily accommodate large ensembles and extensive installed Dante systems using 16 XLR mic/line inputs and 16 XLR line outputs. If you need more, just network multiple SB-16Ds. The mic/line inputs are extremely quiet, achieving –128 dBu EIN and allowing a maximum input level of +32 dBu.
Each input channel offers switchable 48-volt phantom power with indicator as well as signal and overload LEDs for monitoring the input level. Level indicators on the line outputs show the presence of signals.
Superior Networking
Reliable OperationThe SB-16D supports Dante Domain Manager in addition to AES67 and SMPTE 2110 interoperability.
Two Dante ports equipped with etherCON-compatible network connectors allow for redundant streams with robust connections. For increased system reliability, a DC input is provided for a redundant power supply (not included).
Full Remote Control
Use it anywhereIf your SB-16D is onstage, backstage, in a control room or in an equipment closet, you’re always in full control with the free software Tascam IO Control for Windows, macOS and iPadOS.
Manage your stage box from virtually anywhere in the venue, even when the SB-16D is used in standalone mode.
Class 1 HDIA Mic Preamps and 32-Bit ADCs
Best-in-Class SoundWith Sonicview mixers, each microphone input of the SB-16D feeds a Tascam Class 1 HDIA (High Definition Instrumentation Architecture) preamp – the finest mic preamplifier Tascam have ever made.
Thanks to an instrumentation amplifier with incredibly good noise characteristics in the first stage, these microphone preamps exhibit excellent equivalent input noise (EIN), signal-to-noise ratio, distortion ratio and frequency response.
The microphone inputs can handle signal levels up to +32 dBu, providing plenty of headroom for sudden level increases. The combination of Class 1 HDIA preamps, 32-bit ADCs and a sampling frequency of 96 kHz results in best-in-class sound that perform every time.
Flexible Positioning
on the Floor or in a 19-Inch RackIf you want a networked floor box for stage use, or rack-mounted inputs and outputs for recording and broadcast studios and commercial installs, the SB-16D gives you the flexibility you need.
It can be installed in an EIA rack (3U) with the included brackets, which offer two angle options. Mount the jack panel on the front of the rack and take advantage of the SB-16D’s cable hole to conveniently and safely route connected cables in the back.
Large rubber feet keep it stable, even with cables connected, when the SB-16D is used as a floor box. Multiple stage boxes can be stacked for ease of transportation and stability during installation. A handle is also included, making the SB-16D easy to carry.
