Class Leading ConstructionExpanding on the global success of their Crossroads range of instruments, the Tanglewood design team have created another range of guitars, inspired by the aesthetics of 1940/50’s era US instruments with the class leading constructional signature of Michael Sanden and the Tanglewood team. Every Blackbird series instrument is expertly crafted to offer a tight low-end bass notes and rich and crisp high range resonance.
Each model comes bound in vintage ivory ABS materials to deliver the look of Bakelite from the 40’s, and though this doesn’t change the sound, it definitely helps provide towards the historic look that the design team were after, and as you can see, they did a fantastic job. The rich smoky charcoal stained finish named “Smokestack Black“ finishes this range of instruments wonderfully you’ll be sure to find your favourite throughout the range they have to offer.

Hand Selected MahoganyThe Tanglewood TWBB SFCE comes in a Super Folk Cutaway with a Mahogany body through out. The Mahogany is hand selected by Tanglewood, who are experts when it comes to choice of wood.
Not only does this Mahogany body offer a rich and warm tone but it provides pleasing aesthetics too, with its stunning Smokestack Black Satin finish. The Techwood fingerboard adds to the brightness of the tone, whilst providing for incredibly confortable playability.

In Depth Tone ShapingIntegrated into the body of the guitar you'll find the Tanglewood Premium Plus Preamp which has several controls including, bass, middle, treble and presence to help shape your tone when plugged into an amp or directly into a PA.
