Tamron - '150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD'
Fujifilm X Mount
Ultra-Telephoto zoom with intuitive operationThe Tamron 150-500mm F/5-6.7 DI III VC VXD provides the perfect balance of high image quality and a lightweight, compact design packed with features for professional photographers and videographers. Equipped with Tamron's VC system, it provides a high level of image stabilisation along with the fast and accurate VXD linear focus motor to keep your images sharp. The BBAR-G2 coating minimizes reflections inside the lens and suppresses ghosting and lens flares. A minimum focusing distance of just 0.6m at the 150mm focal length makes for impressive close-ups.
Fast and Precise Autofocus
VXD autofocusThe 150-500mm F/5-6.7 has a VXD autofocus with a powerful linear motor. The advantages of the VXD technology lie in the high speed and precision of the focusing. The autofocus reacts at lightning speed and reliably focuses on dynamic motifs such as athletes, fast vehicles, wild animals or birds. The linear motor works quietly and with low vibration, so that the lens is suitable for both photo and video recordings.
Vibration Compensation
VC image StabilisationWhen shooting with long focal lengths, even the smallest movements and vibrations of the camera can lead to blurred results. The 150-500mm F5-6.7 is equipped with an image stabilization system that enables sharp shots even without a tripod by compensating for unwanted camera movements. The VC image stabilizer is particularly advantageous with ultra-telephoto shots and in low light situations. Depending on the subject, three VC settings are available, including a "pull-along mode".
Designed for Mirrorless
For Compact System CamerasThe Tamron 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD is compatible with the advanced features of mirrorless cameras:
• Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF.
• Direct Manual Focus.
• Camera internal lens correction.
• Update of the lens firmware with the camera.
Additional Features
Zoom Lock MechanismThe ZL mechanism prevents unwanted extension of the tube during transport. The lock, which is activated by a switch, protects the lens from damage and at the same time guarantees that it is quickly ready for use.
Flourine CoatingFluorine Coating protects the front lens from contamination. It prevents oil and water droplets from sticking to the surface. Fingerprints and dirt are easier to remove.
BBAR G2Broad Band Anti-Reflection– The BBAR multi-coating ensures brilliant images with natural colours. It reduces the reflection of light rays hitting the lens surface. The more advanced BBAR G2 coating has been used since 2019.
Aspherical LensAspherical lenses correct spherical aberrations (focus errors) in zoom lenses. They can replace several other optical elements without loss of quality, contributing to a more compact lens design.
Internal Focusing (IF) System Internal focusing prevents the barrel from extending and rotating during focusing. The lens is easier to handle and is suitable for use with polarising or gradation filters.
Moisture Resistant The lens is splash-resistant. All critical areas have special seals. Lenses with this feature are ideal for outdoor use in bad weather.
Low DispersionLD elements have particularly low colour dispersion index. They reduce chromatic aberrations that appear as colour fringes on the contrast edges and reduce image sharpness.
Extra-Low Dispersion XLD elements have particularly low colour dispersion index. They reduce chromatic aberrations that appear as colour fringes on the contrast edges and reduce image sharpness.
Vibration Compensation Tamron-developed image stabilisation that compensates for unwanted camera movement for sharper images. Shutter speeds of up to 5 EV stops slower are possible with the VC image stabiliser.
VXD AutofocusVoice-Coil Extreme-Torque Drive – The VXD autofocus guarantees fast and precise focusing on both near and far objects. The quiet focus motor responds at lightning speed and is particularly suitable for images of moving objects.
