Tamron - '11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD'
Fujifilm X Mount
Ultra-wide zoom for spectular perspectivesThe Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD is a fast-aperture ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that is the perfect choice for gripping perspectives and extraordinary viewing angles. Featuring a fast, constant F2.8 maximum aperture this ultra-wide lens is ideal for landscape, astrophotography, and architectural shooting thanks to its enhanced low-light performance. Ready to handle any situation and is ideally suited for dynamic video recordings with a gimbal. Featuring special optical glasses to ensure an optimally corrected, sharp, and detailed image. With a close-up, minimum focusing distance of only 15cm when at the 11mm focal length and just 24cm at the longest 20mm focal length allowing for spectacular close-ups that you would not have thought possible.
Regardless of the respective shooting distance, the RXD (Rapid-eXtra-silent stepping drive) autofocus motor focuses precisely and quickly on the subject. The focus is almost completely silent; thus no annoying operating noise are recorded during video recordings.
Wide-Angle Macro Photography
Immersive wide angle macro photographyThe closest focusing distance of the 11-20mm F/2.8 is only 15cm at the shortest focal length. Meaning with this lens you can get as close to the subject as you want, with up to the largest possible image scale of 1:4. A dramatic effect of depth results thanks to the exaggerated gradation of proportions. The steep decrease in image size makes close objects appear huge and distant objects appear tiny. With the aperture fully open, the depth of field is low, giving the subject emphasis with targetted sharpness and beautiful background bokeh.
Fast and Compact Zoom Lenses
Brilliant and fast zoom DuoThis duo is unique in terms of compactness, speed, and image quality: the 11-20mm F2.8 Di III-A RXD and the 17-70mm F2.8 Di III-A VC RXD together cover the entire focal length range from 11mm to 70mm (35mm equiv 16.5mm to 105mm) with a constant aperture of F2.8. Nevertheless, the fast combination weighs only 860g. The lens duo is the ideal choice for everybody who likes to travel light and wants to capture their experiences in outstanding images. Both zoom lenses also have the same filter thread size, 67mm. The same filters and lens caps can therefore be used on both lenses. This saves weight during transport and valuable time when changing lenses.
Additional Features
Moisture Resistant ConstructionThe lens is splash-resistant. All critical areas have special seals. Lenses with this feature are ideal for outdoor use in bad weather.
Internal Focusing SystemInternal focusing prevents the barrel from extending and rotating during focusing. The lens is easier to handle and is suitable for use with polarising or gradation filters.
BBAR G2The BBAR multi-coating ensures brilliant images with natural colours. It reduces the reflection of light rays hitting the lens surface. The more advanced BBAR G2 coating has been used since 2019.
Flourine Coating Fluorine Coating protects the front lens from contamination. It prevents oil and water droplets from sticking to the surface. Fingerprints and dirt are easier to remove.
Low DispersionLD elements have particularly low colour dispersion index. They reduce chromatic aberrations that appear as colour fringes on the contrast edges and reduce image sharpness.
Extra-Low Dispersion XLD elements have particularly low colour dispersion index. They reduce chromatic aberrations that appear as colour fringes on the contrast edges and reduce image sharpness.
Rapid Extra Silent DriveRXD autofocus is highly responsive, making it ideal for shooting stills and video of subjects in motion. A sensor constantly detects the current focus setting, allowing the continuous autofocus (AF-C) to precisely target the rotation angle required for focus at lightning speed.
