Embrace Rich Tone and Unmatched Playability
Takamine - GN30CE

carefully crafted to inspire your musical creativityIntroducing the ‘GN30CE’ from esteemed Japanese guitar manufacturer Takamine.
The GN30CE is a ‘small jumbo’ sized electro-acoustic guitar, sporting extraordinary aesthetics, remarkable playability and seductive, rich tones. Featuring a solid spruce top and elegant black walnut back and sides, the ‘small jumbo’ body is a dream to hold, whether standing or seated, even for the player with smaller hands.
The inclusion of a solid spruce top means that the GN30CE offers a tone palette that is sensitive and is capable of a wide variety of tones. Fingerstyle players will find it reacts wonderfully to even the lightest of touches, conversely, the GN30CE will respond with a loud, strong voice, full of character when strumming big, open chords.
Takamine included their celebrated ‘TP-4TD’ preamp on this range of guitars, this preamp serves to bring the magnificent voice of the GN30CE to acoustic amplifiers and PA systems and imperatively, retains the natural voice of the guitar, whilst also offering a whole avenue of tone-shaping options thanks to the highly-responsive 3-band EQ.
If you’re looking to add a versatile, beautiful acoustic-electric to your collection, or even if it’s your first, the GN30CE from Takamine should absolutely be at the top of your shopping list.
Exemplary Materials make Exemplary Guitars

A truly prestigious InstrumentTakamine have long since commanded well-earned respect amongst the guitar community, one reason for this is perhaps due to their long-standing, unwavering commitment to attention to detail and the use of quality tonewoods.
The GN30CE sports a solid spruce top, quartersawn X-bracing and mahogany back and sides. The use of solid spruce means that the GN30CE is hugely resonant, offers a well-rounded tone and is perfect for all kinds of playing styles.
The end result is a guitar that not only looks the part, but crucially, sounds the part too. There can be no argument that the GN30CE is a stunning guitar, the mahogany back and sides really allow the woodgrain to shine through in a beautiful fashion. Furthermore, the gloss finish means that when you take to the stage, all eyes will be fixated upon you and your GN30CE.
Superb 'TP-4TD' Preamp

brilliantly responsive 3-BAND EQ
The GN30CE boasts Takamine’s own ‘TP-4TD’ preamp, which sits perfectly on the body of the guitar, situated to allow for quick access when you need it, but also situated in a position not to get in the way whilst playing.
The TP-4TD preamp has an incredibly responsive 3-band EQ – each of which are adjusted by smooth sliders, a volume knob, an on-board tuner, all on one simple and intuitive control panel which encourages the player to plug in and make this guitar soar.
A handy ‘Low Battery’ LED has been added too, a small but invaluable commodity when performing live.
Adorned in Elegant Hardware

featuring takamine's 2 piece saddle technologyTakamine’s attention to detail is just one factor which has earned their lofty status amidst guitarists the world over. The GN30CE is a prime example of this, from top to bottom, the hardware to be found here is nothing short of impeccable. The machineheads are diecast and sport a chrome finish, and offer flawless tuning stability and react to even the smallest of tuning adjustments.
The saddle showcases Takemine’s 2-piece saddle design. A unique feature to Takamine guitars, the reasoning behind the 2-piece design is to solve any intonation issues. Strings 3-6 share one saddle, and the remaining 2 have their own. These are set at unique angles to offer unparalleled intonation. A fine touch indeed.
The fingerboard is made of Ovangkol a great sounding wood with a full midrange, which allows for smooth, fluid playing up and down the neck. The GN30CE is truly a sight to behold.
