Takamine included their celebrated ‘TP-4TD’ preamp on this range of guitars, this preamp serves to bring the magnificent voice of the GN20CE to acoustic amplifiers and PA systems and imperatively, retains the natural voice of the guitar, whilst also offering a whole avenue of tone-shaping options thanks to the highly-responsive 3-band EQ.

The GN20CE sports a solid cedar top, quartersawn X-bracing and mahogany back and sides. The use of solid cedar means that the GN20CE's voice is a touch darker in tone.
The end result is a guitar that not only looks the part, but crucially, sounds the part too. There can be no argument that the GN20CE is a stunning guitar, the mahogany back and sides really allow the woodgrain to shine through in a beautiful fashion. Furthermore, the satin finish makes for a supremely comfortable playing experience.
Superb 'TP-4TD' Preamp
brilliantly responsive 3-BAND EQ
The GN20CE boasts Takamine’s own ‘TP-4TD’ preamp, which sits perfectly on the body of the guitar, situated to allow for quick access when you need it, but also situated in a position not to get in the way whilst playing.
The TP-4TD preamp has an incredibly responsive 3-band EQ – each of which are adjusted by smooth sliders, a volume knob, an on-board tuner, all on one simple and intuitive control panel which encourages the player to plug in and make this guitar soar.
A handy ‘Low Battery’ LED has been added too, a small but invaluable commodity when performing live.

The GN20CE is a prime example of this, from top to bottom, the hardware to be found here is nothing short of impeccable. The machineheads are diecast and sport a chrome finish, and offer flawless tuning stability and react to even the smallest of tuning adjustments.
The saddle showcases Takemine’s 2-piece saddle design. A unique feature to Takamine guitars, the reasoning behind the 2-piece design is to solve any intonation issues. Strings 3-6 share one saddle, and the remaining 2 have their own. These are set at unique angles to offer unparalleled intonation. A fine touch indeed.
The fingerboard is made of Ovangkol a great sounding wood with a full midrange, which allows for smooth, fluid playing up and down the neck. The neck is finished off with Pearloid dot inlays for that extra touch of class. The GN20CE is truly a sight to behold.

It doesn’t matter what the value of the guitar, if you buy it from us we take extra steps to ensure you are completely satisfied with your instrument. Each guitar goes through a 22 step professional guitar set up process to make sure your new instrument sounds as the manufacturer intended it to play.
This means that your guitar may take an extra day to deliver, just so we can get these checks done. You’ll receive email updates once your guitar is ready for despatch.
