Product Overview

Enhanced Performance

The SilverStone ECU03 is a USB 3.1 expansion card with external Type A and Type C connector. It offers 10Gbps bandwidth for excellent stability and transfer rate when multiple external USB devices are in use simultaneously. The ECU03 is also backwards compatible with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 and supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) for enhanced performance. For operating systems with XHCI (eXtensible Host Controller Interface), the ECU03 will easily install without the need for any drivers because it also supports XHCI. For those looking to upgrade or add additional USB 3.1 ports or devices to their computer, the ECU03 is a great starting point.

Silverstone USB 3.1 PCI Express card, 10Gbps, Type C and Type A, PCIe 2.0 x2 is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware if you have an older Motherboard On an X58 system with Windows 10 Pro it caused a multitude of software crashes often with an accompanying 'memory error' which seemed a bit puzzling. I was planning to use to replace my current USB 3.0 PCIE card but for the short time it was in use external SSD write speeds were about 30% lower. It was connected to a reliable SATA power connector so I don't believe a lack of power was causing the problems. Removing the card and replacing it with the older USB 3.0 card stopped all the errors and crashes.

PCI-E x4 (Gen 2)

Hi. I require USB 3.0 in my system. for a future project. of coarse if i can upgrade to 3.1 it makes it more future proof. The only PCI-E port i have spare is a PCI-E x4 (Gen 2) Would i be able to get full speed 3.1 10 gb/s with this card. or would i only get USB 3.0 speeds. Thanks.
Asked by: Brock101
Good Morning, Yes, you should get full speed with this card. Kind Regards,
