Product Overview For years, SilverStone Sugo series has been the benchmark and the standard for high-performance Mini-ITX chassis. The SG08-LITE was designed to retain all the signature features from the award-winning SG08 such as the compact 14.8-liter design that can accommodate graphic card up to 12.2” and the premium 10mm aluminum front panel where SilverStone engineers have further updated the slim optical slot into slot-loading variety for cleaner styling.

Its specially designed fan bracket offers the users flexible cooling options for 180mm fan or 120mm/140mm fan with water-cooling radiator. To keep dust out, all intake vents are equipped with removable filters for easy-cleaning. In contrast with its relatively small size, the SG08-LITE supports standard ATX PSU for greater selections and when used with SilverStone’s Strider Gold S series, the smallest full modular power supplies with 80 PLUS Gold in the world, or our carefully engineered SFX PSUs, the SG08-LITE can help you create an incredible Mini-ITX system.
Features • Ample space for CPU cooling (147mm in height)
• Thick 10mm aluminum front panel with premium styling
• Elevated standoff for motherboard backside components
• Fan bracket supports 180mm fan or 120mm/140mm fan + water cooling radiator
• Support for two 2.5” SSD/hard drives
• Removable fan filters included for case fan and PSU
• Support graphics cards up to 12.2 inches

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Silverstone SST-SG08B-Lite USB 3.0 Sugo mini-ITX Small Form Factor Black Case (Slot Type Optical) w/o PSU (Std ATX Size) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice case but check the manual first I really like this case, it's small and it looks nice but also for a MiniITX system, I've had to make very few compromises for it (it helps that I had an FT03 before so already had a slot DVD drive ready to use). It fits a Gigabyte 280X video card, H90 water cooler and an ivy bridge ITX motherboard & cpu. The case design is basically - if you understand what Silverstone designed, which is "a certain set of components fitted in a specific way, will fit in here" then it will work out :D I had to get a new non-modular power supply to work with this case so that a large video card could be fitted - it needs to have a depth of no more than 140mm and ideally not be modular because the modular connections would go where the video card goes. I went with a Seasonic S12G-550 and that fits very nicely in the case. The flat black power cables also make a much tidier layout than other builds I've seen with the Silverstone power supplies. When putting it together, cable routing is very important so try to keep those tidy and everything will fit well. The cooling of the case is good and the build quality is defiitely good so I'm really happy with it and it fits on the shelf now :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product has good and Bad Features Ok for the price you pay i suppose its a case of you get what you pay for first the BAD the angled power supply plug which you plug into the atx power supply is a real pain in the butt as it is so close to the front inside part of the case you are supposed to mount the power supply so air is sucked in from the bottom i could not get the plug in so i turned the power pack the other way so i could put the plug into the power suppy socket ITS A REAL PAIN next up is the rear of the case the steel is far to thin its so waffy also the reset button is mounted at the rear why they didnot put on the front of case seems it must have been an after thought the ssd hard drive mounting could also be better the alloy front of the case i must say was the best part of the case This case could has been a lot better the power supply mounting is i stress again is rubbish maybe silverstones own power supply has the plug in a better place for pluging into i do not no ?

Questions & Answers

Can i fit a CORSAIR CX500M in this case ?

I will be using the zotac 760 amp edition also, will it fit ?
Asked by: Mack59192
That should fit because the PSU is 140mm deep but the length of the video card combined with the power supply might block off two of the modular connectors on the power supply.

PSU Compatability

What is the max size that a fully modular PSU can be used with this case when using a large/long gfx card? Will a 150mm modular PSU fit, given that we need some space for the power connectors? Otherwise is it possible to orientate the PSU around 180degrees so that the power connectors are on the other side of the case? (I believe this would mean the power extension cord would be on the gfx card side)
Asked by: Markive
The PSU can't be more than 140mm deep and it can't be modular, which limits the PSU choice a great deal - I don't think it can go in backwards with how the PSU cage is designed. The best power supply I've spotted for this is the Seasonic S12G series, which are non-modular 140mm deep power supplies.

Where can i find an optical drive to fit this case?

also will this affect me having a 3.5 hdd and a 2.5 ssd installed on the internal bays? thanks
Asked by: kino4
This case needs slot loading laptop style DVD / Bluray drives, 12.5mm. It fits on a separate tray so it doesn't interfere with fitting hard drives at all because those have separate fittings. Scan do sell a couple of slot loading optical drives.
