Product Overview A Classic!

Combining two of SilverStone's most distinctive computer chassis breakthroughs - the unibody construction of the Temjin TJ07, introduced in 2005, and the 90-degrees rotated motherboard mount of the RAVEN RV01 from 2008 - the Fortress FT02 advances both chassis construction and thermodynamics in a dynamic, streamlined design.

With the Fortress FT02, SilverStone engineers have combined the rigidity of unibody construction with the unparalleled cooling layout of the RAVEN chassis, adding a hot-swappable hard drive cage and an acoustically padded interior for maximum versatility.

The result is increased structural strength, increased storage capacity, and whisper-quiet operation. Its elegant outer shell is perfectly accentuated by the U-shaped unibody aluminium frame that not only provides unique styling, but also functional purpose. The bottom gap from the frame to the main body actually serves as the main air intake area for its three massive 180mm fans, making it even suitable for use on carpeted surfaces. For professionals and enthusiasts looking to build a silent workstation or gaming machine with maximum performance, there is no better than the SilverStone Fortress FT02.

Reviews
Silverstone Fortress SST-FT02B Black Aluminum Mid Tower Case with USB 3.0 + AP181 w/o PSU is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too small for my rig This was the case recommended by PC Partpicker for my setup but when building it was very compact and difficult to get everything inside. Cable management was a nightmare and in the end everything was running too hot. By then it was 'used' so couldn't send it back, so now its just an expensive box sitting in my garage! Had to order another bigger case (Cordair 900D) which fits the bill much better. Be sure you check your dimensions carefully before buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is there a better air-cooled case? I doubt it, at this price point. Its solid construction and innovative design make this an exceptional case. For extreme gamers its lack of water cooling friendliness might be a restriction. For me its not a consideration, and the"hot air travels upwards therefore have the I/O panel at the TOP of the PC, not the back" design is perfect. I previously had a Fractal Design R4. My personal rating, based solely on my personal preferences, is R4 75% FT02 95% I certainly won't be replacing mine any time soon. I have 2 Noctua 12cm fans in a push pull setup with an Antec 620 which works well, for me, not doing any mega overclocking on an i7 2600k. Its not silent, but it is plenty quiet enough (bigger fans, 18cm, dont need to rotate so fast to move a lot of air, than 14 cm fans: equals less noise, obviously)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Silverstone does it again! I previously owned another SS case the TJ09 and had served me well for over 4 system builds spanning some 14+years! I recently went with SLI 2xmsi 780s and sadly the TJ wasn't up to the task any longer, not surprising when it wasn't made for todays setups! Any way let the figures talk for themselves, these are REAL in game and under load temps and fan loads for the GPU's; TJ09 SLI 780s 82-86oC and 82-86% fan speed FT02 SLI 780s 77oC Max and 55% fan speed Max This is simply staggeringly good for this case. I have assembled the OC MSI gaming 7 bundle scan supplied last week in this case and it looks brilliant with the red and black theme! As per usual full marks to scan for my bundle and case. This is the best case I will ever own, but then I said that of the TJ :)
