Scan S-Series | Premium Office Chair | S2-B

Exclusive Scan Multi-purpose Chair | Nero

Style and sophistication is often lacking when it comes to the office workspace, the computer desk and even the entertainment pad. That’s why we designed the Scan S Series of reclinable swivel chairs, available in four smart colours of highly durable PVC leather. Their minimalistic style fits equally in the home, office, or gaming room, as and when required.

This premium Nero black office chair is from Scan’s S2 series. The S2 chair comes with a reliable structure, indulging you in comfort and utilising a high backrest that will accommodate even the tallest of people. Cut out of the backrest are air-pockets that are also utilised when manoeuvring the cushion, allowing it to be lowered and raised at will and with ease. This bucket-seat chair encloses you in comfort and grips your back to ensure a healthy posture. Embossed with Scan's logo these PVC leather chairs are sure to bring highly adjustable class and comfort to your office or work-place.

Available colours:

Adjustable Chair Backrest

Reclining Computer Chair Seating

The backrest provides firm support for users and is mounted on an adjustable mechanism. Users can adjust the vertical tilt between 80 and 150 degrees, giving you lots of options from a firm near-vertical position to a relaxed reclined position.

Adjustable Seating

Perfected Chair Height Positioning

Powered by a glass lift mechanism the height of the Scan S1 and S2 chairs can be adjusted using an easy to reach lever while remaining in the sitting position. It's simple and easy to position your chair for correct posture and increased comfort.

Adjustable Armrests

Multi-Directional Chair Armrest Movement

4D multi-adjustable armrests let you customise the chair to your liking. You can adjust the arm’s vertical height plus forwards and backwards relative to the seat base to match your posture. Other adjustments include moving the armrests inwards and outwards plus a swivel function, which all work in conjunction to reduce fatigue, muscle strain and take the pressure off your wrists.

Smooth and Silent Castors

High-Quality Castors, Smooth Movement

Featuring extra-large 75mm castors mounted to a sturdy five-star base the Scan S1 and S2 chairs glide smoothly and quietly over all surfaces. The five-star design allows for a much wider chair base, which forges a much more sturdy and reliable stability.

Deluxe Seat Cushions

Precision Comfort with personalised Scan logo

Scan S1 and S2 chairs also include a pair of deluxe cushions, one that provides extra lumbar support and one that provides extra neck support. Both cushions can be freely positioned for different body sizes and postures, allowing for extra support where and when required.

High Quality Finish

Premium PVC Leather Comfort

S-Series office chairs from Scan are finished in high quality PVC leather that is durable, fade and stain resistant and can be easily cleaned with warm water and a mild detergent. The PVC leather is animal cruelty free and vegan approved.

Scan Sedia S2-B Premium Chair, Nero, PVC Leather, 5 Point with Castors, Height Adjustable, Reclinable Back is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Difficult to assemble, but overall good quality chair. I've been using this chair for a few weeks now and feel I can give a decent initial impression review. At first I was struggling to get comfortable on this chair, but I think that's probably because I am a bit of a bigger build than I think is intended for this chair, and also it's a bit different to your "normal" computer chairs. After a week or so I started using both cushions and now I find this chair to be quite comfortable. Easily adjustable arm rests in several directions, recline also easy to change. I think the material has molded to me a bit now also. I've sat in this chair for over 10 hours some days with no real issue (with obvious short breaks). I managed to assemble this on my own, but I wouldn't recommend doing what I did. It's not easy to align the back of the chair to the seat and get all the holes for the screws in place. I still don't have screw cover cases on because it was such a pain getting it all aligned. It's hard to say whether this will hold up in 5 or 10 years time at the moment, but the quality of the material and chair in general seems very solid and of good quality. The casters roll quietly also, but that might depend on your surface. Overall, if you're looking for a good quality, racing style chair for a decent price (instead of the seriously expensive similar types) this is a good choice. It has all the adjustables you want, and includes 2 removable cushions if you desire to use them or not. My biggest problem was the assembly, you would need close to superhuman strength to get this thing properly aligned on your own it feels like. A few notes for potential buyers: I am around 6 foot 3, and I find this chair to be sat quite high on the lowest setting. If you're under 6 foot, I would imagine you will be on your tiptoes, or your legs will be hanging, so you might need a footrest. Also - if you open up the box and notice you can't find the screws, it's because they're pre-inserted into the holes, so don't call up Scan like I did asking where the screws are. (sorry about that)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Half the price of a branded one amazeballs lost for words don't be surprised if these don't jump up in price. have looked and tried various other brands and yes there are lots that are the same or very similar but haveing said that the price on all of these is much more expensive. One extremely happy Customer. ;-) The only gripe is I'm 6"1' and on its minimum height just I am in the right seating position someone smaller may feel like there 5 years old again sitting on an adult chair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant chair I'm a tall guy, 6 foot 7 to be exact. I'm also not a particularly skinny person either, I weigh 115kg. And it fits me perfectly. The chair was a little bit of a struggle to build, however, it's definitely worth it in the end. The chair is rather tall, taller than my previous chairs, which is perfect considering i'm massive, the back rest is easy moved into a comfortable position. The head rest is placed perfectly also. The arm rests are great, they're easy to change the height and pushing them forward and backwards. The chair reclines fine also, into an almost 180 degree angle, however i wouldn't suggest using this as it would most likely tip if you lent back. You can change the height, however, i find the lowest setting to be too high up, but it does increase to a very high position. The only two downsides i have with this chair would be the price, i'm not 100% convinced it's worth £199.99, maybe £149.99-£179.99. However, it's the best I've found for my height. The other downside was the delivery, it was delayed by a week due to some errors(I believe), and since I had no chair available to use my computer, I had no PC to use. Overall, I would give this a 9/10.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and quality but some things to consider... This chair is very comfortable, the two pillows are a great addition and give great back and head support. The recline angle is great and the lower back support is perfect (unless you have a slightly larger frame, then they may be a little tight). My criticism of this chair is largely down to its height. When fully assembled with the castors my feet don't touch the ground, even with the chair in its lowest position (I am 174cm tall and weigh 80kg. The ONS said the average man in England was 5ft 9in (175.3cm) tall and weighed 13.16 stone (83.6kg). The average woman in England weighed 11 stone (70.2kg) and was 5ft 3in tall (161.6cm). I ended up taking the castors off my chair and replacing with low profile flat feet (in order to fit it under my desk). The clearance required for this chair to fit under a desk at minimum height and arm elevation is approx 73cm, which is well above the average desk height for typing. Desks used for typing should be lower at 24 to 28 inches (61 to 71cm). My desk is at 65cm. In my opinion, this chair could be made better by offering a range of gas cylinder ram sizes that would allow the minimum height to be reduced. In general, the quality is good, the material seems strong and durable, and the stitching looks and feels good. There is some interference between the backrest and the seat when the back is adjusted, which could lead to wear over time as the two surfaces rub. Overall a good chair but I'm a little disappointed with the height.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing chair I absolutely love this chair. I've spent a year on an £80 Argos office chair that made my arthritic legs hurt but after buying my current chair unseen I didn't want to buy a new chair unless I was able to try it out first. Scan had some of these chairs set up when I visited so I gave it a go and immediately ordered it on my phone. It's a little tricky to fit into a Peugeot 108 and is quite heavy when building but it's well worth the effort. Not only is it really comfortable but it looks nice too. This is a taller chair that seems like it was made for regular sized adults and not 5'3" ladies who have a 27" inside leg so my feet don't quite reach the floor but that happens on almost all office chairs for me so it's not an issue. I highly recommend this chair to everyone, especially those like me who have arthritis or another problem that causes pain whilst sitting as it really does ease the pain of sitting in one place for extended periods of time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I need longer legs First impressions.... Very fast delivery as always. This chair is a challenge to put together as it all fits very tightly and it's very heavy. It will need two of you and you'll need to stay calm as there are some delicate manoeuvres required. The quality is as high as described and it looks fantastic in the man-cave. One drawback - the big castors may improve movement but they are very big and I can't quite get my feet on the floor. Nothing a foot rest or a 34" inside leg won't cure but I have had these legs for 50 some years now so I think the latter is out of the question. I'll review again once I have used it a bit but so far it seems pretty comfortable.

Questions & Answers

What is the height from ground to the top of the arm rests?

With the arm rests in their lowest position while the chair is in its lowest position, what height would a desk need to be for the chair to fit under it?
Asked by: DrMeatyBlaster
I have this chair and I've just tested this. It looks like you will need around 72cm (maybe 73cm to be safe) of desk height to make sure the chair can fit underneath it, arm rests and all.
