Thick, saturated distortion for any rig
Introducing the incredible 'G4' from Canadian Amplifier/Pedal Wizards 'Revv'. Revv's 'G4' has made serious waves throughout the Rock and Metal community, and for good reason too. With it's Amp-like distortion, versatilty and thick, saturated distortion, the G4 has earned hordes of adoring fans throughout the media since it's inception.
Whether you’re running your guitar through a combo, a head-unit or direct into a modeler, you can now tap into raw, thick, saturated, valve amp-like distortion with the G4 from Canadian amplifier gurus ‘Revv’. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is a meagre evolution of the popular G3 either, this is much more, an entirely different beast infact. It packs the unmistakable full, fat tone from a cranked valve amplifier, and it plays super well with a variety of pedals and amplifiers of all kinds.
In Revv's own words...“if the G3 is a scalpel, the G4 is a sledgehammer.”
The Revv G4 has won many admirers and accolades throughout the media since it's release, and for good reason. For the titanic tone of the Revv amp’s Red channel in a pedal format, it can only be the G4.
Huge, Amp-Like Distortion

the ultimate modern metal distortionThe G4 from Revv is based on the Red channel from Revv’s incredibly popular ‘Generator 100/120’ range of boutique, high-gain amplifiers. Essentially, this is the Generator in stompbox form.
Yes, the G4 is packing incredible amounts of gain, however the G4 is far from a one trick pony, there’s enough scope within this pedal to accommodate everything from crushing modern metal, to old-school 80’s rock and metal.
The Revv G4 can be found on the pedal boards of leading metal, rock, prog, punk guitarists the world over, and it’s easy to see why. The thick, sustaining amp-like tone from the G4 has won fans from all genres since it’s inception, it’s also simple to use too, with a simple 3-band EQ, 3 aggression modes, volume and gain, this is a pedal that you can ‘plug and play’ with, no complex manuals needed here!
Choose from 3 Voicing Options

Fine tune the gain and frequencies emphasisedThe G4 is a truly versatile distortion pedal with fantastic opportunities for tone-shaping, it’s capable of fitting into almost any form of setup, be that directly into a combo/head-unit, direct into the desk or a pedal-platform amplifier. In addition to the usual ‘Volume’ and ‘Gain’ parameters you’d expect to find on any distortion pedal, the G4 is equipped with a 3-band EQ and the G4’s secret weapon, the ‘Aggression’ switch.
The ‘Aggression’ switch features two modes, ‘Red’, and ‘Blue’. With neither of these modes selected, in the ‘Off’ position, the G4 kicks out the same distortion as you’d find on the Revv amp’s red channel. However, things start to get very interesting when this switch is toggled to the ‘Red’ position, here you’ll be treated to a thicker, more saturated distortion, whilst in the ‘Blue’ position, the G4 will reign-in certain frequencies and you’ll hear a noticeably tighter distortion.
There’s a whole lot of potential inside the G4! It’s incredibly adaptable to any rig, and any rock/metal application.
