AMD Radeon R9 290X
Date Issued: 24th Oct 2013

AMD launched a number of new graphics cards a couple of weeks back. But examining the details showed that the R9 280X, R9 270X, and R7 260X - the three headline GPUs - were largely rebrands of older technology. Countering a lack of genuine GPU advancement, AMD's attractive pricing makes the new cards reasonably compelling propositions.

Questions & Answers

is this compatible with Apple's new Thunderbolt port ?

if not let me know one that is
Asked by: deplancy
As far as i am aware yes, - A Thunderbolt port is also a mini DisplayPort. - A mini DisplayPort is not necessarily a Thunderbolt port. If you know your Mac has a Thunderbolt port, you can use any cable/accessory that is for mini DisplayPort. If you have a mini DisplayPort that you know isn't a Thunderbolt port, you can use mini DisplayPort cables/accessories but not Thunderbolt cables/accessories.
