Natural & Inspiring ToneIn 1977, BOSS created a completely new style of stompbox with the OD-1, offering guitarists natural overdrive in pedal format for the first time ever. Producing a harmonically rich signal with a unique asymmetric clipping circuit, to give you the satisfying sound and feel of a driven tube amp, but at controllable volume levels.
Four years later, this legendary design developed into the more versatile SD-1, this came with the addition of an active tone control for shaping the treble response and subtle enhancements for more low-end depth.
