portable format!ASM’s seriously impressive Hydrasynth Explorer elevates the now legendary Hydrasynth into new unexplored territories. The Hydrasynth Explorer offers the very same 8-voice sound engine as the Hydrasynth Keyboard and Desktop, but this time in a compact, highly portable and portable battery powered form factor. The 37-note mid-sized PolyTouch® keybed features polyphonic aftertouch, offering great playability and expression but in a reduced footprint.
The extremely deep yet easy to use sound engine features the famous WaveScan oscillators, Mutator waveshaping, flexible dual Filter section, 32-slot modulation matrix, and dual Insert and dual Master effects allowing a lifetime of sonic explorations. The CV/GATE outputs provide for easy integration with equipment such as modular synthesizers and the USB MIDI and full-sized MIDI DIN connectors takes care of standard connectivity without the need for special cables.
The ASM Hydrasynth Explorer can also be powered by 8xAA batteries for true on-the-go mobile operation. Simply put, this is one very powerful compact-sized synthesizer and controller all-in-one for the modern musician.

Huge Modulation Potential!
32-slot modulation matrixFeaturing a 32-slot modulation matrix, ASM’s Hydrasynth Explorer gives you the power to curate amazingly detailed and expressive sounds. Both novice and experienced musicians are sure to be blown away with the envelope generators (5 per voice), each of which offer delay and hold alongside ADSR stages. Each individual stage is able to sweep through exponential and logarithmic curves, offering vast creative potential for huge modulations.
Like the majority of function within the Hydrasynth Explorer, envelopes are able to be locked to bpm to allow for tempo-synched modulations. Alongside the loop function, it’s possible to use the envelopes as LFOs for cool waveshapes! As a side note, Hydrasynth Explorer offers up to 5 LFOs for each voice with a total of 11 waveshapes.
Real-Time Control!
