Six Heatpipe Dual Radiator Design

Providing more surface area, better heat-distribution and superior airflow efficiency than conventional tower style heatsinks, the NH-D14s six heatpipe dual radiator design was developed to provide ultimate quiet cooling performance in dual fan mode.

Dual NF-P14/NF-P12 Fan Setup

The NH-D14 sports a premium quality dual fan setup consisting of Noctua’s award-winning NF-P12 (120mm) and NF-P14 (140mm) fans, both of which feature Vortex-Control Notches, SCD technology and SSO-Bearings in order to achieve a perfect balance of performance and quietness.

Asymmetrical Design for High Compatibility

An asymmetrical design that gives more clearance above the RAM slots (44mm) which ensures good compatibility despite the cooler’s size. The NF-P12 fan can be moved upwards or left off in order to further improve compatibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning This cooler is absolutely amazing. Although I started to suspect my ageing Arctic Freezer Pro needed to be replaced I have lived with it for a while. I'm now getting ambient temps at idle 30 and 50 degrees C whilst generating Video Preview Thumbnails in Plex. Previously my i7 7700K was hitting between 80 and 100 degrees. Probably the most single important upgrade I have ever made in all my years of self building. I just can't speak highly enough about this cooler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable air cooling max 30c over ambient This product delivers CPU cooling at max temps of 30c over ambient un-overclocked on i7 4790 (one of the hottest chips Intel ever made, behind the 4770). It is quiet but effective and works best in a wind tunnel style case airflow setup, reducing temps even further.

My PC was overheating whilst streaming for long periods of times and i tried out Corsair's Liquid coolers (it leaked..), got recommended to look at Noctua...and now i wont look back. It keeps it at fan-tastic *cough* temperatures.

My 4790K never goes above 40 degrees on full load thanks to the Noctua, which I actually downvolted using the provided cables, meaning that I could hit even lower temps if I wanted to! On top of that it is very quiet, even on full load. My only reserve is that the manual did not explain installation for LGA1150 ports, so I had to search the internet to understand how to install it. The installation wasn't exactly simple and it would have been better if the manual was clearer and covered all supported CPU formats, but everything is forgotten once the Noctua starts working so effectively. However, the cooler is very big so double check that it can fit both in your case and on your motherboard: On my MSI Z97 Gaming 5 mobo the noctua makes access to the RAM very difficult and cuts access to one of the PCI ports. Not an issue for me as I doubt i'll ever use it. Overall, a very effective cooler at a friendly price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big and Cold Upgraded to this from the stock Intel heatsink and the difference is astounding. At idle and low loads with the fans off my CPU(i5-2400) is sitting comfortably below 40 degrees, and under load with fan control barely scrapes 50. It's possibly overkill for my system but it does the job great. The fans are dead silent up to around 60%, but get loud fairly quickly after that with 100% making a noticeable rushing sound. This cooler is Big, so getting into my mATX system was a challenge, but it fits in nicely. Overall would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a high tier CPU cooler.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality build but with no fan speed control pin Good heat sink and overall build quality. The instruction is clear and accessories are plenty. If you are like me looking for a quiet experience will be disappointed. This fan has only 3 pin connector to the motherboard, missing the 4th pin, which controls the fan speed. This means it runs on max constantly, and the noise is non-negligible.
