Neumann - 'KH 750 DSP'
10” closed cabinet subwooferNeumann’s ‘KH 750 DSP’ is a compact 10” closed cabinet subwoofer controlled via DSP. It’s not only simple to install, but also delivers incredibly low bass reproduction. Thanks to the onboard DSP engine, the sound output is perfectly optimised for the reference class, while the Neumann Control app for iPads is available for configuration, adjustment and operation in the system. The woofer is the ideal choice for small studios and studio monitors (e.g. KH 80DSP). The analogue and digital inputs/outputs, 4x routing modes and flexible acoustic controls offer flawless system integration. Whether it’s music, broadcast or post-production studios dedicated to tracking, mixing and/or mastering - the KH 750 DSP from Neumann is the choice of professionals in every field.
265mm (10”) is the size of the newly developed long-stroke driver, which has a large, linear magnet system and a very strong steel basket. While the robust grid protects the driver from accidental damage, the well-braced housing has been sealed to achieve the fastest possible transient response. The 192kHz/24-bit digital input accepts both AES3 and S/P-DIF signals, allowing each sound engineer to remain flexible. The Standby function (with bypass), can have its switch-off time set, and is controllable via the Neumann.Control App.
This app provides full access to additional features of the KH 750 DSP via a standard IP network that are not available on the back of the speaker. Speaker systems can thus be defined from mono to 3D and adapted to the respective room with good sound and central control. Especially for beginners this app offers an enormous help, because especially small rooms are affected by refractions, materials and similar problems.

Consistent & Reliable Monotioring
Unique QualitiesThe Automatic Alignment is a purpose-built tool for stereo sets of KH 80 DSP monitors with or without the KH 750 DSP as well as two non-DSP-based KH-Line monitors connected to the analogue outputs of a KH 750 DSP subwoofer.
Unlike the usual correction software, it is an integrated solution with novel algorithms, jointly created with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) specifically for Neumann studio monitors.
No plug-in or special audio driver is needed: Alignment data is stored and processed within the DSP-powered monitors themselves. As a unique benefit, the software not only optimizes the amplitude response but it optimizes the phase too. This gives you the best accuracy in terms of tonality and impulse reproduction.
How It Works
Completely Eliminating Potential IssuesIn most cases, acoustic data of the listening environment is gathered in a guided process. No additional acoustic knowledge is required, just connect your Neumann monitors to the outputs of your audio interface or monitor controller. Additionally, your DSP-based KH-line monitors must also be connected to your computer’s ethernet port. For multiple connections, a standard ethernet switch would work.
After that, plug the measurement microphone into your microphone input. This microphone was specifically developed for this software and is individually calibrated by it. The software will help you through the measurement process.
From the measured data, the software ascertains the room’s acoustic properties. The individual correction parameters are made according to a room-specific target curve calculated by the software. Neumann's decades of experience in calibrating monitoring systems in studio control rooms has been incorporated into this process. Obviously, you can change the target curve to your needs.
Additionally, the alignment process guarantees an optimal summation in the low frequencies when a subwoofer is used. Resulting correction parameters are stored and processed in the DSP-powered monitors. There is no need to worry anymore, no plug-ins, driver issues or additional cables. Once the alignment process is finished, the ethernet connections are no longer required.
Possible Configurations
Better Performance & More ClarityUsing the KH 750 DSP subwoofer, stereo sets of analog KH-Line monitors, too, can be used with the Automatic Monitor Alignment Software. The KH 750 DSP has enough processing power to align the whole system including the two analog loudspeakers connected to its outputs.
The KH 120, KH 310, and KH 420 loudspeakers also profit from phase linearization of their built-in crossover filters! The result is more clarity, a dry bass, and a time-correct, increased accurate reppresentation of reverbs and acoustic spaces.
