MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI, AMD X570, AM4, DDR4, PCIe 4.0, Dual M.2, 2-Way CrossFire, GbE/WiFi, USB 3.2, ATX is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The saviour of all upgrades MSI Saved my build! After going through multiple motherboards MSI came out as the king! The unlimited ram compatibility made sure my Corsair RGB DDR4 sticks worked and over preformed them! Reaching my XMP of 3200mhz without a hitch! Furthermore the mobo boosted my clock speed to the max 4.2GHZ using their easy to use utility Dragon Software. Installation was easy and safe and keeps my m.2 boot drive always cool! Wifi is blazing fast as a steal to be bundled in with the board! Fan headers could be improved a bit in terms of position to the right side of the board as well as put all of the SATA ports together. Also ashamed there's no front USB-C ports... Overall a fantastic board for any RYZEN 3rd Gen User!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The price to performance King Summary; I WOULD buy this again if i was building a pc. WHY! I bought this motherboard over the x570 godlike due to its price and well... it just did everything i could ask for. This is the 2500k motherboard equivelant of today, the x570 price to performance king, and it works out of the box with the AMD 300 series of cpu's so easily beats the 3-4 series boards on ease of use. Whats Included! Inside the very nicely printed box is as follows; The driver CD (who even uses these anymore? a nice cheap MSI branded USB wouldnt have gona a miss as it wouldnt even have to be large memory wise) , an MSI sticker ( not the nice metalic looking ones of old but still not bad) , very sleek Wi-Fi antenna, SATA cables ( 1x straight 1x angled), M.2 screws (silver on a black motherboard? but cant be seen anyway), Corsair RGB cable, RGB Y cable, Rainbow RGB cable, twelve SATA cable sticky labels, . Bios! The bios from msi is very simple to use Lots of fan profiling features and XMP was VERY easy to setup, basicaly one click which for people who arent familiar with pcs is very handy. General layout! Really well built motherboard great design and clean aesthetics, i built my system inside a corsair icue 220t and pretty much all my cables are hidden due to the case and the Power delivery and VRMs on this mobo are very good, and the heat spreaders and thermal pads for the m.2 exc is very nice feature theres 2 PCIE 4.0 M.2 slots, and both have said heat sinks, the included twin frozr fan built onto the board is silent aswell no hight pitched whiny noises and it even sits idle in the bios, the inclusion of the EZ debug section of the motherboard was very handy during setup also. Wireless! The included wireless is fantastic (wifi 6), I even use this over the ethernet at the moment (even though thats fantastic aswell as its intel Gigabit Lan so great driver support) and the fastest bluetooth ive ever seen (bluetooth 5.0) The Audio! Heres a quote from MSI; "A dedicated sound card Audio Boost 4, powered by Nahimic, offers a HD audio processor, dedicated amplifier and high quality audio capacitors, all physically isolated from the rest of the motherboard circuitry to ensure the purest audio signal to locate enemies with pin-point accuracy." Now thats the usual gamer speak but let me tell you, i do alot of audio produciton and most of the time use my Focusrite or Behringer umc22 audio interfaces and to tell you the truth the sound card is absolutely FANTASTIC this is the one area i feel i can share my experience and to put it simply ive not seen audio done this well on a motherboard before this really is a big well done from me MSI. The RGB! The Rgb has a strip down the side thats a bit harder to see when your RGB case fans are on and theres a very nicely thought out rgb light near the rear IO, this synced very easily to the dragon centre software and now i have all my fans ram cpu cooler and motherboard running in tandom which lets face it is very nice to have as it saves hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best X570 motherboard in it's price range I started my initial venture into Ryzen with an X470 motherboard which unfortunately died within 2 months of use. After the unveiling of the X570 lineup, I decided to purchase an X570 over a new X470 motherboard. The prices of the X570 motherboards are understandably higher than their X470 predecessors but for PCIE 4.0 and PBO2 and XFR2, I believe it's worth the premium. I was turned off the brand which had failed me last time and was stuck between two brands; of which had relatively identical specs. In the end I chose the MSI X570 Pro Carbon WiFi over the other competitor because of aesthetics, the carbon fibre accenting and sleek VRM heat sinks really looks incredibly appealing. Upon receiving the product, it was bundled with atypical motherboard accessories, SATA cables, M.2 screws, a driver disk (which would be better as a USB drive) and a MSI stickers etc. A nice detail I noticed was the black SATA cables which matched the black aesthetic of the motherboard greatly, the consistency and attention to detail is quite impressive, the inclusion of the EZ debug LED was also very nice. This motherboard is undoubtedly the easiest installation of any motherboard I have ever fitted prior. The lack of a proprietary IO shield makes seating the motherboard flush with the rear IO area of my case ridiculously easy and was always a pain with previous motherboard installations. Upon powering my motherboard on everything was detected instantly and my 3200mhz Corsair RAM ran flawlessly on it's A-XMP 2 profile. MSI and other competitors have a stigma around bad BIOSes but it pleases me to say that MSI really created a great BIOS, everything was quite easy to navigate to and easy to modify, one feature I would like added is a SPD Write option under RAM settings but that is a rather small nitpick. Overall, if you are considering a motherboard in this price range, I would say it would be rather a foolish endeavour to purchase anything other than this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value mid-tier x570 board Very happy with my purchase. I needed an AMD board after deciding to purchase a Ryzen 3700x CPU. After a lot of research I decided on this board and have not been disappointed. What's in the box? The details on the website listing are a bit sparse in this regard, but apart from the motherboard itself you also get: Full manual, Quick start guide, DVD with BIOS drivers/utilities, WiFi antenna, 2 x M.2 screws (always handy), 2 x SATA cables (1x straight, 1x angled), RGB cables, decorative MSI case sticker and some useful cable stickers to allow for easy labelling/cable management. I always think including a CMOS jumper is a nice touch (missing here), but a screwdriver works just as well if needed. Installation was very easy; the manual is user-friendly if you need it, but the board is well laid out and everything is marked for easy identification. The board looks good and you can easily turn off the RGB in the BIOS menu if it's not your thing. Pros: - 2 x PCIE 4.0 M.2 slots, each with heatshield & heatsink including fan - WiFi 6 - Intel Gigabit Lan - ALC1220 audio - High quality VRMs - BIOS user-interface is really intuitive and feature packed for the novice (e.g., preset memory overclocks & 'Game boost' for CPU) whilst having all the options an experienced OCer needs - Plenty USB 3.x ports front and rear - BIOS flashback functionality - just plug a USB in the back panel, push a button and away it goes. Cons: - No Clear CMOS button on the rear I/O panel - No fan header around the rear I/O panel area; meaning if you have a typical exhaust fan placement then you need to run the cable down to the bottom of the board, not a huge issue but not ideal - Not a con as such, but be mindful if you have a M.2 SATA SSD that only the bottom M.2 slot supports this, the top M.2 slot does not Prior to purchase I was a bit concerned about the x570 boards coming with chipset fans, but I can honestly say that noise has not been an issue - you're not going to hear the fan so just don't factor it in to your buying equations. Temperatures haven't been a problem either and my case is kept in a 'sub-optimal' location. This seems a good board for OC and MSI VRMs have a good reputation. I've easily been able to get my Crucial 3000mhz DDR4 CL15 running at 3600mhz CL14 which plays very nicely with Ryzen 2nd gen and the corresponding boost to Infinity Fabric frequency. All in all, if you want an x570 board I think this is the sweet-spot in terms of price/performance; if you go any cheaper then you compromise with some/all of the following: Realtek LAN, not enough USB/SATA ports, no/worse Wifi, lower quality audio codecs and/or VRMs etc. Any more expensive and I think you begin paying for features that are rarely needed or where the specs are overkill for the requirements. Would buy again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the X570 boards for it's money I paired it with a 3700X and since I believe that no motherboard should cost more than the CPU you are buying, this was the ONLY choice for me alongside a few other factors. I like it's monochromatic looks (RGB aside), because I would like to be able to make my computer glow with any color I want without any pre-painted colors to ruin the color scheme. Some other motherboards have painted stripes or shapes on them with set colors which is counter intuitive bearing in mind they also sport RGB. Another thing that I really like about this motherboard is that the chipset fan turns off when it's not needed which makes my PC even quieter. Not that it makes a lot of noise anyway. The VRM temperatures are in check and even when stress testing it doesn't break a sweat. The UEFI is one of the good ones out there and coming from a Gigabyte X370 board the step up is very noticeable, both in build quality and usability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice for a long term future proof build Delivery was on time with DPD. Got emails of each delivery process step. Installation: Built-in IO shield made it so much easier compared to previous builds of putting it in manually especially if you are forgetful. Screw Holes were in decent positions for me to screw into my case however the one in the middle had a bit of trouble due to M.2 heatsink blocking so small screwdriver may be recommended for this bit. Everything is labelled on the motherboard and the instructions are very clear for where to connect the cables. Probably PC case fault but I can't get to the first 2 SATA ports and USB 3.2 internal connectors on the side because of the side edge inside my case poking out. This means I can't connect my USB 3.0 internal cable connector and I can only use 4 SATA ports but I'm ok with this since my case is old which will be upgraded and I don't need them. CPU installation bracket was already installed so made it really easy for me to install Wraith Prism Cooler which only requires to clip in. Though you should always be careful to not push down on the CPU. The layout of the ports was designed perfectly even with my old PC case Cooler Master N300. My cable management is able to go around the outside of the motherboard. I haven't installed any M.2 NVMe SSDs yet but it's nice to have 2 gen 4 slots ready since my case only has one SSD slot XD Also it comes with heatsinks so that future gen4 m.2 ssds I am going to buy will be cheaper since I can then get the ones without heatsinks. Weirdly what I noticed was the the second graphics card slot has rusted. This is ok for me since I only use one graphics card currently but potentially I see myself using 2 for monitor compatibilities and streaming reasons so this was a shame to see. Obviously I assume it should still function properly. Performance: Currently using Ryzen 3700X and Corsair 3200Mhz 2x8GB RAM. In terms of performance fans are pretty quiet enough for me. I have the MSI dragon center installed which allowed me to tune the fans with just one click and in a few minutes it automatically adjusted the smart fan speeds. Easy to know when to open up the BIOS and navigation of overclocking my RAM to 3200MHZ was easy. Mouse is very slow though on the BIOS but I don't mind. Gaming and streaming has been great using the x264 option in OBS where my CPU usage would be less than 50% and CPU temp peaking to 80°C and motherboard peaking 45°C ish. It's been 3 weeks and I have had no problems. Details about my choice: In terms of brand I didn't really want to spend my time looking at every single motherboard so I focused on a brand lineup and MSI attracted me with their availability in stock, clear tiers in pricing, features and their promotional period of a free liquid cooler when registering your product. Other motherboards I could have went with my budget is: MSI X570 GAMING PLUS, X570 A PRO and MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI. My final decision was based on Edge vs Carbon so I paid £50 more because of these reasons: These ones have 2 M.2 NVMe SSD slots but only one supports gen 4 where as Carbon supports this in 2 of them. They don't have Wifi 6 or some with no wifi at all. I wanted Bluetooth 5.0 where as gaming edge provides only 4.2. Carbon comes with 2 m.2 heatsinks but these don't or with just one. Next choice for me was MEG X570 ACE but this is £100 more than the carbon and I don't need 3 M.2 and video card slots. However the 2.5G LAN was tempting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great job MSI This motherboard is perfect to combine with a Ryzen 3000 CPU, in my case a Ryzen 3700x. The choice of a motherboard can be confusing as there is so much choice, but after much research I decided for the Gaming Pro Carbon, as also owner of a 2080 MSI gaming trio on which I found myself very well. Everything worked out of the box. Installation instructions were clear and simple. The motherboard is solid and strong to the touch. The chipset fan is very quiet and the chipset temperatures are low due to the heat and layout design. The heat and the MSI Frozr fan are very favorably compared to brands.  The BIOS has many pre-programmed memory ranges if you want to try overclocking. It's great if you're not an overclocking expert. The memory results will obviously differ depending on the sticks chosen. The new Dragon Center software is one of the best bundled software packages I've used. It contains all the programs that control the functionality of the motherboard (LEDs, fans, updates, Wifi, performance monitors, network monitors and tools). All of these are in one place, rather than having to install 5 different programs The card also had a complete feature set that corresponds to some more expensive cards. Wifi, Bluetooth, high power VRM, metal heatsync for chipset and NVMe units, error LEDs, a large number of ports and connectors. I am really satisfied with this motherboard, so much so that I got other friends to take a Gaming Plus and an Ace

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super happy with this motherboard! I purchased this to go together with the newly released Ryzen 3000 CPU series. I currently have a 3900X, although I am considering getting a 3950X later down the line once that releases. I did a lot of research on motherboards prior to this purchase, looking at B450, X470, and X570 boards. Obviously, I decided on this product after all of that research. In this review, I'll go over my experience with this board. Packaging and Installation: The motherboard arrived in a beautiful and high quality box, with a colourful design on the front and all the specification details on the back. Inside, the motherboard is safe and sound inside an anti-static bag, and below that you'll find all the bundled goodies. You get a manual, info leaflets, driver CD, Wi-Fi antenna, SATA cable (straight), SATA cable (angled), two M.2 screws, Corsair RGB cable, RGB Y cable, Rainbow RGB cable, twelve SATA cable sticky labels, and a beautiful MSI logo sticker. Installation was a breeze in my Fractal Design Meshify C case. I didn't encounter any problems with setup. The only complaint I have is that the mouse cursor seems somewhat laggy in the BIOS, but there's a very minor niggle! Features: This motherboard is jam-packed with features, and should have more than enough to satisfy most enthusiasts. As far as core components go, the board uses a server-grade PCB, performant VRMs with 10+2 phases, and an isolated DDR memory circuit. It includes PCIe 4 support, Intel LAN, Wi-Fi 6, a great audio chip, four PCIe slots, six SATA ports, two M.2 slots with heatsinks, several USB ports, and more. Aside from all of the above features, there are two key reasons why I selected this board, instead of buying a competing brand. Those key features are memory overclocking and the chipset fan, which I'll detail below. Memory overclocking: MSI is known for having one of (if not the) best memory overclocking support. Even Buildzoid, the hardcore overclocker, is quoted as saying "I'd say their daisy chains are really really good". High praise! Given how the Zen architecture is sensitive to memory speed, and AMD has officially said that DDR4-3600 CL16 is the recommended price/performance config, I really wanted a board with good memory support. I was not disappointed: MSI delivers this. I'm able to easily run my Ballistix RAM at 3600 CL16, and expect I could push it much further! Chipset fan: As you may or may not know, the X570 platform heralds the return of the chipset fan, a little fan on the motherboard that provides active cooling. This appears to be a requirement of X570, due to increased power and heat. All the X570 motherboards have these chipset fans, and there are various concerns with this: extra noise, ventilation issues, and a risk of mechanical failure. MSI's boards appear to have better chipset fans than competing products, as they utilise MSI's patented Frozr design from their graphics cards. This should help with noise and reliability. Additionally, competing products have the chipset fan directly next to the graphics card slot, which means that hot air expelled from there will go straight into the chipset - there are even reports of competing motherboards overheating as a result! MSI's boards have the chipset fan placed much further down, which avoids this issue entirely. I can say I don't have any problem with temperatures or noise - in fact, the fan stays off most of the time as it only spins up when needed! Aesthetics: This board is absolutely gorgeous, and I'll admit, that was a factor in my decision to get it. MSI's X570 line-up is interesting, in that all of their boards look good but have different styles to appeal to different tastes. For example, the X570-A-PRO has a professional look with classy silver stripes, while the X570 Godlike has heavy RGB lighting to appeal to people who something more flashy. This motherboard, the X570 Gaming Pro Carbon, has a little bit of RGB lighting, but not so much that it overwhelms. The heatsinks look very elegant with their dark grey colour, carbon texture, and angular lines, making them both functional and attractive. This is obviously very subjective, but for me personally, this is one of the most beautiful motherboards I've ever owned! Cost: At £260, this motherboard represents exceptional value for the X570 platform. It is a bit pricey compared to past motherboards, but the X570 boards are simply more expensive across all brands. For reference, the lowest-end X570 boards are around £170, while the highest-end boards get up to a whopping £770! Compared to the lowest-end, this X570 Gaming Pro Carbon offers the superior Intel LAN (compared to Realtek), built-in Wi-Fi 6 support, the superior ALC1220 audio chip, additional fast USB ports, and better VRMs to drive more powerful CPUs. If you're going with a high-end CPU like the 3900X or 3950X, or especially if you hope to upgrade to new CPU generations in the future, then those better VRMs will be important. I feel like the X570 Gaming Pro Carbon strikes a good balance between price and features. Aside from the above, at the time of writing, MSI is running a promotion called "I Love Ryzen 3000", where they're giving away CPU coolers, Steam vouchers, and NVMe SSDs to buyers of these new motherboards. This obviously increases the value proposition even further, and simply makes this purchase a no-brainer! Conclusion: After spending some time with this motherboard, I'm happy to say that I'm completely satisfied with it. For the price point, MSI has delivered excellent value. I give it 5/5 stars!
