120mm UNI FAN SL Wireless Forward Blade ARGB PWM Triple Fan Pack with 1.6" LCDs from Lian Li

Lian Li UNI FAN SL Wireless 120mm ARGB PWM Fan White

Power in Sync The Lian Li UNI FAN SL Wireless starts with its signature interlocking design—letting you snap together up to four fans in a chain with no extra cables in sight. Managed through L-Connect 3, each fan soaks in dual-zone ARGB lighting, giving your build a bold, reactive glow that’s both clean and deeply customisable. As for linking to your motherboard, a chain of fans only needs 1 4-Pin PWM connection for power and a 9-pin internal USB 2.0 header for LCDs. Simply plug in the L-Wireless hub USB into your back panel and it confidently handles the rest, allowing for independent, wireless control within L-Connect 3. With LCD models, users can display GIF, MP4, AVI, PNG, or JPG files, as well as live system stats like CPU, GPU, and RAM—all directly on the fan. It’s a modular, powerful, and surprisingly fun way to build.

Forward Blade Flow Direction

Maximum AirflowThis fan pushes 58.08 CFM of airflow through its blades, making it a powerful choice for maintaining low temperatures in push/pull configurations. Its PWM functionality allows for dynamic fan speed control, adjusting to your system’s needs for good cooling without waste or noise.

Daisy Chain DesignThe interlocking design enables up to four fans to be daisy-chained together with ease, eliminating clutter and simplifying installation. This feature transforms UNI Fans into a game-changer, providing effortless control and unified performance in modern PC builds.

Connect Your L-Wireless Controller

9-Pin Internal USB 2.0 Header and 4-Pin PWM

 1.  Fans to Motherboard: Each fan or daisy-chained group requires a 4-pin PWM cable for power and speed control. LCD models also need a USB 2.0 9-pin cable (not included with non-LCD fans) for data transmission.

USB 2.0 2.4GHz L-Wireless Hub

 2.  2.4GHz USB 2.0: Here’s where the wireless part comes in. The L-Wireless controller manages all lighting and fan control over 2.4GHz, letting your system run clean and cable-free from the outside. Simply plug it into your motherboard’s rear USB Type-A port—or alternatively, use an internal 9-pin USB header if preferred.

9-Pin USB Header connected to PWM Splitter Hooked up to 9 UNI FAN Wireless fans in alternating LCD and Non-LCD types

USB Splitter CableThe connection between the USB port and LCD screen has been enhanced for better performance. By using a USB splitter cable, you can connect multiple UNI FAN SL LCD wireless fans to a single motherboard USB port, allowing for a more streamlined setup.

Expand With SataFor larger setups, adding a SATA power connection allows support for more fans. With a USB splitter and SATA power, up to 9 UNI FAN SL LCD wireless fans can be supported on a single motherboard, allowing for easy scalability in bigger builds.

Please Note

If the PWM port used is below 1A and the fan shows a flickering white light upon startup, this indicates unstable power from the motherboard. In this case, please connect the cable to a different 4-pin PWM port or use a 12V to SATA adapter (included with triple fans only).

Bridging The EcosystemThe controller supports multiple fan groups, with each group occupying its own channel for stable control. It’s also fully compatible with the Strimer Wireless Series, allowing you to use additional channels for other devices, ensuring a seamless and scalable setup for your PC.

Your Fans, Your Personality

Dual Zone Fan ARGB Strips Highlighted with Colour Effect

Full Colour ControlThe UNI FAN SL LCD features two distinct lighting zones per fan, allowing for intricate, layered lighting effects across your build. Each zone can be individually customised in L-Connect 3, letting you create dynamic gradients, alternating colour patterns, or uniform aesthetics.

Precision PBT BladesThe thick polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) blades are engineered for rigidity and minimal flex. This design clears lots of room for static pressure while preventing turbulence.

Reinforced Core StabilityMoving inward, a high-strength metal bearing secures the impeller in place. A surrounding rubber ring helps absorb vibrations, keeping noise levels low and holding balance.

Exploded view of Fan Anatomy

Engineered Fan FrameA reinforced 28mm-thick fan frame completes the structure, built for durability and airflow efficiency. Rubber dampening pads at each corner absorb residual vibrations, staying quiet at all times.

Fluid Dynamic BearingAt the heart of the fan lies the fluid dynamic bearing (FDB), designed to keep friction to a minimum and max out on lifespan. Supported by a brass nut, stator, and shaft, this system allows for smooth and stable rotation.

L-Connect 3 Software

ARGB Customisation in L-Connect 3

Full Customisation in One PlaceL-Connect 3 delivers a clean, intuitive interface designed for full control of your UNI FAN setup. The dashboard is split into straightforward sections—fan speed, lighting, grouping—so you can jump into exactly what you need without any digging. Fans are displayed in chains and can be renamed, sorted, and grouped visually, making large or mixed setups easy to manage at a glance.

L-Wireless Customisation in L-Connect 3

Ultra IntelligentL-Wireless Sync within L-Connect 3 enables independent identification and management of each fan cluster. Fans connected to the same receiver are assigned to a single channel, which can be grouped, named, or colour-synced for quick customisation. This feature is great when coordinating multiple fan banks—top, front, bottom—to work in unison.

Fan Curve Setup in L-Connect 3

Set Fan CurvesSetting up fan profiles is streamlined; you can allow the software to adjust automatically based on system temperatures or manually define your own RPM curves using a drag-and-drop tool. Once fans are grouped, you can synchronize or adjust them individually, with real-time feedback. The software also accommodates mixed orientations—such as standard and reverse blade fans—displaying them clearly.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.
