a bonafide 80s Classic
The iconic ‘84’ from Kramer pays loving tribute to what is undoubtedly one of the most influential and iconic shred guitars of all time (Think red, black and white stripes!). This purpose-built shred machine is based around a slick alder body, a hard-rock maple neck and rapid 12”-radius fingerboard.
Kramer included a solitary red-hot Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge position, as you may well expect, this thing comes to life when paired with a high-gain rock/metal amplifier. It’s pretty clear for anyone to see this guitar was born for one thing – to shred. Naturally Kramer added a Floyd Rose locking tremolo to the mix to complete what is, an out and out metal machine!

banana-style headstockThe 84’s surprisingly lightweight alder body offers a well rounded and balance tone, whilst the hard-rock maple neck sports a super-smooth K-Speed SlimTaper ‘C’ profiling with a 12”-radius fingerboard and 22 medium-jumbo frets.
Kramer ensured quick and easy access to the truss rod for when you need to make quick tweaks to the neck and time is of the essence with the inclusion of an easy-access truss rod. One other addition we particularly loved was the banana-style headstock, finished in a matching colour to the body!

This pickup has a reputation and for good reason, this humbucker is one of the most popular in the world. This red-hot pickup packs serious output without ever sacrificing tone and clarity.
