stripped down shred machine The SM-1 H is an exciting new version of the SM-1 and an updated version of the original Kramer Stagemaster Mach II. It retains the neck-through, double-cutaway mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, and Floyd Rose® 1000 series tremolo and R2 1000 series locking nut of the original SM-1, but has simplified electronics consisting of a single volume control with push/pull series/parallel switching and a Seymour Duncan® JB™ humbucker™ in the bridge position. Available in Buzzsaw Gold, Shockwave Purple, and Tronius Silver, an optional hard case is available.

push-pull volume potWhen it comes to versatile pickups, Seymour Duncan’s JB humbucker is right up there. You’ll find the JB pickup on country records, blues records, rock records and heavy metal. The JB really excels when paired with an aggressive play style, with endless sustain and the ability to cut right through the mix.
Capable of robust, crunching low-end for that all-important chug and thunderous power chords, right through to searing solo and leads, the JB packs incredible clarity and power. Combined with a simple push-pull volume pot, the stripped-down nature of the SM-1 H is truly something to behold!
