Korg - 'microKORG'
Synthesizer / Vocoder

Analogue Modeled Synthesizer & VocoderThe Korg microKORG is a synthesizer with vocoder offers all the fantastic sound and features Korg are known for. The microKORG comes with the same dual-oscillator DSP synthesis engine you get in Korg's popular MS2000 but with a larger range of waveforms than almost any other modeled synthesizer available. Along with this, you get 64 exclusive DWGS waveforms from the classic Korg DW-8000 synthesizer, this allows you to reproduce a wide selection of interesting sounds that would usually be a challenge reproduce on an analogue synthesizer using the microKORG.
At A Glance
• A true synthesizer with an analogue modeling tone generator
• Virtual patches for even more complex sound-editing
• An amp section with great presence and distortion
• Powerful-sounding oscillator section
• 128 programs for immediate use
Versatile & Distinctive

New & Original SoundsThis eight-band vocoder not only replicates the classic vocoder sounds of the past, but it also shifts the filter frequencies using the Formant Shift function or even adjust the level and panning of each frequency band to drastically transforms the tonal character and create new and original sounds.
Along with this, the Formant Hold key freezes the formants of the input vocal signal, so you can capture your voice and play it on the keyboard. You can start using the effective vocoder function immediately with the included microphone.
Additional Tonal Character

Save Your SoundYou can connect a mic using the AUDIO IN1 jack of the microKORG, and use it for a powerful vocoder that adds the tonal character of a vocal input to the sound of an oscillator, giving the effect that it is speaking or singing. While vocalizing into the mic and using the keyboard to play vocoder sounds, you can "freeze" the selected tone of the vocoder by pressing the Formant Hold key.
This allows you to continue to play the generated vocoder sound, even when you are not vocalizing. This tone will be saved when you write the vocoder program to memory. Multiple of the vocoder bank programs will sound even if you simply play the keyboard. These programs were written with Formant Hold turned on.
128 Programs For Instant Use

Accessible SoundsThe microKORG includes 128 programs covering a wide variety of vintage and modern synth and vocoder sounds. From the warm and rounded tones characteristic of analogue modeling, to sharp and chaotic sounds, you can easily find the sounds you need, thanks to the clear genre categories that the sounds are organized by.
By selecting the music style/sound category you want and select a sound, once you select a sound the five knobs will control the most important functions you would want in performance for instant results.
Controls Made For Easy Access

realtime capabilitiesThe microKORG is easy to carry and set up due to its sleek and compact design. There's no complicated menu structure, all parameters are right there on the panel for easy access to any function.
Made for live performance, all the important controls are large and easy to see, even on darker stages, by taking advantage of its realtime capabilities, you can make your stage sound even more impressive.
Distinctive Looks With A Mini-Mic Included

Classy AestheticWith its beige-gold body color and wooden side panels, along with a retro-feeling design that reflects a pop sensibility, the microKORG provides a strong visual presence whilst featuring a miniature condenser mic to be used with the vocoder that can be adjusted to your desired angle.
A Full Range of Effects

Simple Sound EditingThe microKORG features three types of modulation effects - chorus/flanger, phaser, ensemble, three types of delay effects - stereo, cross, L/R, and a two-band equalizer to add complete to your sound. The delay effect can be synchronized with the arpeggiator or an external MIDI clock, which is great for live performances and groove based music. All effects can be edited simply by turning knobs to create your own original sounds.
You also get six types of arpeggio patterns built in - UP, DOWN, ALT1/2, Random, Trigger. You can edit the length and resolution of the arpeggiated notes, and switch steps on and off to easily create interesting patterns.
Diverse Functionallity
Process an external audio sourceThe microKORG features two external audio input jacks, so you can apply filtering or effects to an external sound such as a sampler or other audio source to create truly original sounds.
MIDI controller functionalityThe microKORG is ideal for use in a computer-based music production setup, as the five knobs on the panel can transmit MIDI messages/control changes, they can be used as controllers for software synthesizers.
