Rated 5 out of 5 by Vandragorax from Ready for PS5 and XBOX Series X Bought this to deal with the next-gen of games as 8 cores 16 threads matches the upcoming PS5 and XBOX Series X stats. As expected, it handles all gaming without any issue with 3440x1440 100hz monitor, but it also lets me use x264 (software encoding) for streaming 720@60fps without even flinching. Price obviously a bit higher than AMD equivalent but I prefer the 'always on' higher turbo clock speed for gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alex97 from Great CPU It’s effectively a rebadged 9900k albeit just over 100£ cheaper. Great thermals under load, decent overclocking potential, and great single core performance. Breezes through all modern titles and performs nicely on all my 3D software. If you prefer sticking with Intel, you won’t have any issues with this CPU.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mako from Brilliant CPU for Gaming I can say being an ex owner of a i9-9900k, this cpu performed better at games over the i9 and at much lower temps i used the exact same cooler for both CPU's a DARK rock pro 4 and temps on the i7 are amazing idle- 20-30 degrees at max and while gaming not reaching over 55(not overclocked) would highly recommend this CPU to anyone

Rated 5 out of 5 by Akif from An Absolute Beast!! I was a little sceptical about buying any intel 10th CPU, especially the i7 or i9 after watching alot of reviews saying that AMD was a better option. I was originally leaning towards the i9 as I would make use of the extra 2 cores but ended up settling for the i7 for now. And I might end up keeping the i7 as it just a beast. Reviews said that it would be running hot but I am running at 24 degrees idle and 32 degrees on work load. On full load Im seeing temps of about 59-61 degrees and this is all on an air cooler (Noctua NH-u12a with TT fans). There is nothing else that I can other than its very fast and powerful. It does what an i7 is known to do, blow other CPU's out the water. It may be beaten on Price/performance but for me and what I use it for, it is doing an exceptional job. Definitely recommend for anyone that wants speed, power and reliability. Cannot give gaming review as I do not have a GPU yet.
