The Flexibility of Zen
all bases covered The Zen DAC is able to switch between ‘variable’ and ‘fixed’ with no trouble whatsoever. When set to ‘variable’, the Zen DAC is able to be used as a preamp to feed a power amp or active speakers. Switch over to ‘Fixed’ to bypass the volume control entirely, then connect to an external pre-amp or integrated amp.
The Ace of Bass The Zen DAC is fitted with TrueBass. IFI’s proprietary technology is a ‘bass boost’ operating in the analogue realm, meaning that there is no DSP in IFI’s technology. ‘TrueBass’ boosts the bass whilst not affecting the mid-range, making the DAC perfect for pairing with IEM’s and open-back headphones which can often leak important bass frequencies.
TDK C0G (Class 1 ceramic) capacitors offer high stability and low losses for resonant circuit applications. They are pricey but are a perfect addition to our products.
