Rated 4 out of 5 by JiminiCricket The Icy Dock is a lovely little disc reader and docking station
Everything was included in the box, as advertised. The docking station with stand, ac power adapter, USB 3 cable (Dock connector to USB 3), 4 pin Power Cord and a manual.
The dock handles 2.5" and 3.5" IDE drives with connectors mounted on either edge of the station and in between them is the 4 pin power connector. They connect in the right way to allow the 4 pin power connection without trouble. On the base of the station are the connectors for 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives, they are powered by the connector and the drives are easy to fit. You can fit all drives with or without the green plastic stand slotted onto the rear of the station.
If you use the Dock as a permanent spare disc or backup disc reader then it is very neat when standing. The body is lightweight plastic and can seem flimsy but the metal stand adds weight.
From defunct PCs I have 5 x 3.5" SATA drives and 2 x 3.5" IDE drives. These were all easily read on an iMac albeit the 2 IDE drives are so old and small that they are now unusable. The 1 x 2.5" ATA and 1 x 2.5" IDE laptop drives were readable.
A great external drive docking station for the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MochinDdu ok so far on Sata, not tested on IDE yet,
Mounts disks ok on Linus mint 15, but fails to do a speed benchmark or format, probably a Linux USB 3 problem, not the device. Will update to Mint 16 some time and retry benchmark. As I have not tested all functionality unable to recommend, my failing, not the unit.
