After taking the world by storm with his performance video of his song ‘Passionflower’, which went viral in 2012 and catapulted Jon to the forefront of the acoustic fingerstyle movement, Jon has toured the world and has cultivated a dedicated and supportive fanbase. Jon’s guitar playing style is highly technical, unique and, most importantly, incredibly musical, acting as the perfect accompaniment for his soulful and melodic vocal delivery. When listening to Jon’s music, it is hard to believe that all of the sounds are being created by only Jon and his guitar. Jon is able to create the sound of a full band in real time with his guitar, which provides the perfect soundscapes for his songs. Together with Ibanez, Jon has designed the perfect guitar for him, and is very excited to make it available to everyone.

The guitar JGM11 is made of a Thermo Aged Solid Sitka Spruce Top that delivers a vintage dry sound, with a Solid African Mahogany back and sides to offer full-bodied warm mid range. The African Mahogany and Maple 5-piece neck has enhanced durability while the Macassar Ebony fretboard with Jumbo Stainless Steel frets offers quick response and effortless articulation. The combination of the Fishman Rare Earth Mic Blend Active Soundhole pickup and Tap pickup provides a warmer, more natural acoustic tone with plenty of clarity. This system also allows the guitar to capture the string vibration through the whole body and neck, which provides a rich acoustic tone and a dynamic percussive sound from the body and neck.

Other premium features include a Macassar Ebony top loading bridge for a better percussive sound, Gotoh machine heads for 3rd-6th strings and Keith Banjo tuners for 1st & 2nd strings, Dual Outputs (Magnetic pickup/Contact pickup/Microphone outputs) and luminlay side dots. The included Ibanez fiberglass case also gives your instrument ultimate protection.
