signature modelIbanez’s APEX30 is the signature model of James ‘Munky’ Shaffer of Korn fame and showcases a long running collaboration between the 7-string trailblazer and Ibanez themselves. Back in the early 1990s Munky and co were hugely responsible for the surge in popularity of 7-string guitars and low tunings.
The impeccable APEX30 showcases all the features and which Shaffer has tested over the course of their nigh-on 30-year career. With a Nato body and maple top, the APEX30 is comfortably light and hugely resonant. Also included is a 3-piece maple Wizard II-7 neck and gorgeous ebony fingerboard which helps serve up buckets of playability and comfort.

Freak Unleashed!
EverTune bridgeIt’s no secret that heavy and aggressive playing styles often take a harsh toll on your tuning and its stabililty. For this reason, Ibanez included an EverTune bridge on the APEX30, this system helps in keeping the APEX30 in tune, even under the most abrasive of playing styles.
DiMarzio Blaze humbuckersIbanez included a formidable DiMarzio Blaze humbucker in the bridge position, a modern-style humbucker which scoops the mids out in a crushing manner to enable the bass and treble response to cut through and shine.
This is all complimented fantastically well thanks to the inclusion of the Blaze in the neck position, perfect for tapping into cleaner tones when needed. To take control over all of this huge power, you’ll find a 3-way selector switch, master volume and master tone pots.
